Beautiful craftsmanship and a design about 400 years old. Likely late Renaissance. Origin estimated to be Germany or Italy, representing European scholarship.

The genius lies in stabilizing the scale using the planet's gravitational field; you get a reading by rotating the suspension toward sunlight. The rest is just logic and the owner's experience. Accuracy to within 15 minutes is sufficient if you think like a Renaissance person, counting on three meals between sunrise and sunset and sleeping through the night.

So, this clock is amazing steampunk gear for travelers and adventurers who won't let any puzzle or similar complication stop them. Perhaps all the secrets hidden in a thief's or healer's costume.

Velmi hezká práce a asi 400 let starý design. Patrně pozdní renesance. Původ odhadem Německo nebo Itálie, tedy Evropská vzdělanost.

Z astronomického a geofyzikálního hlediska se jedná o stále stejné období, kalendářní značení a odečítací linie uvnitř jsou zjednodušená analemma odpovídající oblasti použití, tedy Evropa mezi městy Hamburg a Venezia. A další země a oblasti ve stejné severní zeměpisné šířce.

Geniální je stabilizace stupnice tíhovým polem planety, odečet se řeší natočením závěsu na Sluneční světlo. Zbytek je logika a zkušenost majitele hodin. Přesnost na 1/4 hodiny je dostačující, pokud uvažujete renesančně a počítáte pouze s tím, že mezi východem a západem Slunce je 3x jídlo a v noci se spí.

Takže, tyhle hodiny jsou úžasný steampunk pro cestovatele a dobrodruhy, které nezastaví žádná hádanka, nebo podobná komplikace. Třeba všechna tajemství, schovaná v kostýmu zlodějky nebo léčitelky.

A nice keychain that also makes your keys easier to find. I still don't know how to tell time with it, but it definitely looks cool. Some of the markings are a bit hard to see, and I even managed to bend these heavy-duty clock hands a little.

Hezký doplněk na klíče, které se díky němu i lépe hledají. Do teď nevím, jak se podle toho čas měří, ale rozhodně vypadají pěkně. Jen některé znaky nejsou moc dobře vidět, taky se mi podařilo i tyto těžké hodiny tak trochu ohnout.

4 stars because I bought 2 packs for myself and my girlfriend - 1x 3/5 and 1x 5/5. Functionality is the same, but the first piece was defective - one of the outer rings is misaligned and there are holes on the inside (which the others don't have) that more or less deform the "dial"... Nothing that would affect the function, but it's a shame; if I were buying it in a store, I would have picked a different one...

4 hviezdy pretože som kúpil 2 balíkom pre seba a pre priateľku - 1x 3/5 a 1x 5/5. Funkčnosť rovnaká, ale prvý kus bol vadný - jeden z vonkajších kruhov je posunutý a vo vnútornej strane sú diery (v druhých nie sú), ktoré viacmenej deformujú "ciferník"... Nič čo by narušovalo funkciu ale zamrzí, keby som to kupoval v obchode tak vyberiem iné...

A cool gadget that not everyone has. It takes a moment to figure out how it works, but the thrill of seeing the clock actually tell the time is priceless. The inside looks a bit "chaotic," but you can still read it just fine.

Parádní věcička, kterou jen tak nikdo nemá. Sice člověku chvíli trvá, než pochopí, jak se s tím zachází, ale nadšení z toho, že hodiny opravdu ukazují aktuální čas je k nezaplacení. Vnitřek sice působí trochu "rozjetě", ale číst se z něj dá.
