How to choose a tabletop RPG
First, pick your genre and tone — epic fantasy, space opera, horror, or a system without a fixed setting. Then, decide on the system: lighter rules for a quick start, or crunchier ones for tactical combat and character builds. Only then consider the format — core rulebook, starter set, expansion, or PDF/ebook.

FAQ
What is an RPG / roleplaying game?
Tabletop RPGs are collaborative storytelling games: players control characters, and one person usually facilitates the world (the Game Master / GM). Rules and dice resolve uncertainty — the rest is up to the discussion at the table.
How does it differ from a board game?
Board games have a fixed goal and a game board. RPGs have an open-ended story, characters, and sessions that build upon each other.
How do I start as a complete beginner?
Pick one system, the core rules, and a small group. Tip: How to start with D&D.
Do I need miniatures?
No. Many tables play "theater of the mind." Miniatures and maps help with combat and positioning — they aren't a requirement to play.
English or Czech?
It depends on the language skills of your fellow players. Czech titles (including Mytago) make starting easier, while English originals have a wider catalog of expansions. Check the language in the product details.
Is one book enough?
For the first session, often yes (starter set / core rulebook). Buy expansions once you know what your table really enjoys playing.
