Belts from the imago workshop
We produce a range of leather belts in our own leather workshop. We can even engrave custom motifs on selected pieces.
How to choose a belt
- Period: Medieval belts with brass decorations, Viking Gokstad and Jotunheim belts, Celtic motifs (Triskel, Celtic hound), or Gothic strap belts.
- Width: A narrow strap suits dresses and light costumes. For a sword or pouch, go for a wider and sturdier belt.
- Length: The belt should extend past the buckle so the end hangs freely. You can find the length in the product parameters.
- Accessories: Smuggler's belt with a pouch, fabric belt with pockets, or a leather holder for your festival cup.
Make your own belt
Cowhide leather for belts is available in 3 cm and 4 cm widths in black, brown, and natural colors. You can find individual buckles and strap ends in the Buckles, clasps, and straps category.
FAQ
How do I care for a leather belt?
Clean the leather with a dry cloth and treat it occasionally with leather wax or balm. Let a soaked belt dry naturally, not on a radiator.
Can I wear the belt with regular clothes?
Simpler leather belts without heavy decoration look great with jeans. Ornate historical belts are better suited for costumes.
