Gaia Project

Gaia Project builds upon the game system of its famous predecessor, Terra Mystica. Just like in the original game, you'll find 14 unique factions living on 7 different types of planets. Each faction can only survive on its home planet, so they must rely on planetary terraforming technology to expand, grow, and colonize neighboring worlds. The already intense competition for habitable planets is spiced up by Gaia planets—worlds with perfect conditions that any faction can settle—and Transdimensional planets, which are inhospitable but can be transformed into Gaia planets.

In Gaia Project, factions compete not only in colonizing worlds but also in scientific advancement across six research areas: terraforming, navigation, artificial intelligence, the Gaia Project, economy, and science. Factions that invest time and resources into research gain new income, bonuses, and advanced technologies. Each faction also possesses unique abilities and strengths that set them apart from others in the galaxy.

The galaxy (game board) consists of ten sectors that can be arranged in various ways, giving Gaia Project even greater variability and replayability than its older sibling, Terra Mystica. For two-player games, you can shrink the board to seven sectors, and the game also includes a solo mode by Automa Factory, where you face off against an automated opponent.

The game includes Czech rules.
