Many think trolls are big, stupid creatures. Yet, not long ago, they lived among us, using cunning magic to look like ordinary people. High in the mountains, they kept herds of cattle, and their underground caves overflowed with gold, silver, and precious stones. Troll tables groaned under the weight of delicious food. In Sweden, there is even a saying: "As rich as a troll."
Trolls weren't mean to those who treated them politely—they even helped such people. However, they loved playing pranks on humans and had plenty of ways to really "troll" them. Using their magic, they could fool people into seeing them as ordinary humans, animals, logs, or stones. They could even turn completely invisible. But they had their weaknesses, too. They couldn't stand the sound of church bells or the cold touch of steel, not to mention the rays of the sun.
In the board game Jak se trollí princezny, players control one of four troll clans and compete to win the favor (victory points) of the Mountain King.
To do this, you need to steal babies from cradles, "hire" humans, tear down bell towers, kidnap princesses, build caves, and use troll spells.
Players gather resources and perform various actions with their trolls, aiming to become the greatest troll leader with the most victory points by the end of the game!
