Dungeons & Dragons: Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide

This book explores the world of Faerûn across several chapters, covering its history, religions, and descriptions of the Sword Coast and various cities. The second half focuses on races and subraces—some are described with references to the core rules, while others are presented as new subraces—along with classes, a few new archetypes, and finally, new backgrounds.

It's a great book if you're adventuring along the Sword Coast. However, the price is a major downside, especially considering the book's size, which is about half that of a standard handbook.

Kniha v několika kapitolách popisuje svět Faerunu, jeho historii, náboženství, popisuje oblasti Sword Coastu a některých měst. V druhé polovině se věnuje rasám a subrasám (některé pouze popisuje s odkazem na klasická pravidla, k pár z nich popisuje jako novou subrasu), povoláním a pár novým zaměřením a nakonec i novým backgroundům.

Pěkná kniha pokud se pohybujete po Mečovém pobřeží. Velkou nevýhodou je však cena, vzhledem k velikosti knihy, která je asi poloviční, oproti handbooku.

More and more. This book adds more adventures, it's a shame they aren't detailed further. More for your character. Plenty of great backgrounds.

Viac a Viac. Táto kniha vám pridá viac dobrodružstiev, škoda že nesú rozpísane dopodrobna. Viac pre vašu postavu. Mnoho skvelých backgroundov.

I wanted a sourcebook that describes a world where I could set my adventures, and that's exactly what I found here. It could use more maps, but there are tons of them online, so you can easily manage that way.

Chtěl jsem příručku, která by popisovala svět, do kterého bych mohl zasazovat svá dobrodružství a přesně to jsem v této našel. Mohlo by v ní být více mapek, ale těch je na internetu hromada, takže si člověk může poradit takto.

This book provides extensive context for this location and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to play here.

If you've been missing background information on the world, cities, races, classes, or culture for 5e, you'll find it here. Even though this book is thinner than other 5e titles, it's packed with text because it features fewer illustrations.

Pokial vam v ramci 5e chybali nejake background informacie o svete, mestach, rasach, povolaniach alebo kulture. Tu ich najdete. Napriek tomu, ze je kniha tensia, ako ine 5e knigy, obsahuje vela textu, pretoze ma zase menej obrazkov.

If you play in the Sword Coast region and, like me, need to know "useless" details like which factions hold influence, what the local politics are, or which inn is the best place to stay, this book is a fantastic expansion of your knowledge about the place where you guide your players or where your character experiences their adventures.

It offers expanded descriptions of races, classes, geography, and much more.

Pokud hrajte v oblasti Mečového pobřeží a stejně jako já potřebujete vědět "zbytečné" detaily jako které frakce mají jaký vliv, jaké poměry v daném kraji panují, či ve kterém hostinci je nejlepší se ubytovat, je tato kniha skvělým rozšířením vašich vědomostí o místě, kde provázíte své hráče, či kde vaše postava zažívá svá dobrodružství.

Nabízí rozšířené popisy ras, povolání, geografie a mnoho dalšího.

I really appreciated this book, especially for the large number of subclasses it adds. It truly expands your group's gameplay options significantly. I would recommend it as an optional supplement for Tyranny of Dragons, the Waterdeep campaigns, Storm King's Thunder, or Baldur's Gate games.
The book has beautiful illustrations, as usual. The problem is its size and the amount of content, which is lower than usual.

Tuhle knihu jsem ocenil zejména kvůli velkému množství subclass, které přidává. Opravdu, tahle kniha o mnoho rozšíří herní možnosti vaší skupiny. poté bych ji doporučil jako volitelný dodatek k Tyranny of dragons, kampaním z Waterdeep, nebo Storm king's thunder, nebo k hrám Baldur's gate.
Kniha, jako obvykle, má moc hezké obrázky. problém je její velikost a množství obsahu, které je nižší než obvykle

The Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide is something I've wanted to get my hands on for a long time.
I'm one of those people who grew up on games like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. This book stirs up so much nostalgia for people like me. It's an introduction to the world called Faerûn, specifically the region known as the Sword Coast.
Dungeon Masters and players will find tips, history, deities, politics, and other wonders that this rich world offers, which has always been a bit overlooked in the Czech environment.
The book is beautifully illustrated, and you can't wait to dive into this world as a DM or player and maybe—who knows—run into Minsc and Boo, Drizzt, or the great Elminster himself.

Průvodce pro dobrodruhy přes Mečové Pobřeží je vskutku něco, co jsem chtěl dostat do rukou již dávno.
Jsem jeden z těch, co vyrůstal na hrách jako Baldur´s Gate nebo Icewind Dale. A tahle kniha v lidech jako jsem já probudí tolik nostalgie. Je to úvod do světa zvaného Faerûn a zejména do oblasti, jenž se zove Mečové Pobřeží.
Dungeon master a hráči se zde setkají s tipy, historií, božstvy, politikou a dalšími krásami, které tento bohatý svět nabízí, ale který byl vždycky tak trochu v českém prostředí opomíjen.
Kniha je nádherně ilustrovaná a člověk se už nemůže dočkat, aby se jako DM nebo hráč ponořil do tohoto světa a třeba - kdo ví - narazil na Minsca a Boa, Drizzta či samotného velkého Elminstera.
