Selected illustrations, marketing materials, and historical photos perfectly complement the text. After reading this, I appreciate DnD even more and have a new respect for the current 5th edition rules. The cover by Hydro74 is absolutely perfect. Bonus materials like printed illustrations and the Tomb of Horrors tournament module will thrill every DnD fan.

Vybráné ilustrácie, marketingové materiály a historické fotky všetko krásne dopĺňajú. Po prečítaní knihy mám DnD ešte radšej a oceňujem súčasný stav 5. verzie pravidiel. Obálka od Hydro74 je úplne perfektná. Dodatočné materiály, ako vytlačené ilustrácie a tournament modul Tomb of Horrors potešia každého milovníka DnD.
A truly luxurious edition of the book detailing how the most popular tabletop RPG became a global phenomenon. Get ready for a large black box with gold-embossed cover art. And once you open it: pure joy. The book itself is beautifully crafted, featuring high-quality coated paper, high-resolution photos and illustrations (which is a treat, especially for the 70s material reproductions), and engaging reading (in English). Plus, you get a plastic envelope filled with art from older D&D editions, along with a facsimile—a faithful reproduction—of Gary Gygax’s legendary tournament module, Tomb of Horrors. I’m already wondering if I could run it using OSE. It’s a slight shame the art prints aren't on thicker, higher-quality paper, as the light coated stock can tear or scuff easily. But if you frame them and put them straight on the wall, you have nothing to worry about.
Úplne luxusné vydanie knihy o tom, ako sa najpopulárnejšia hra na hrdinov stala fenoménom. Pripravte sa, že vám príde veľký čierny box so zlatom razeným dizajnom na obale. A keď ho otvoríte: radosť. Kniha samotná je veľmi dobre spracovaná, kvalitný kriedový papier, fotky a ilustračné materiály vo vysokom rozlíšení (čo poteší najmä pri reprodukciách materiálov zo 70. rokov), pútavé čítanie (v angličtine). A k tomu plastová obálka s množstvom artov zo starších verzií DnD, ako aj s faksimile - jednoducho, vernou reprodukciou - brožúry s legendárnym turnajovým modulom Garyho Gygaxa Tomb of Horrors. Už rozmýšľam, či by som ho vedela zahrať v rámci OSE. Je trochu škoda, že tie arty nie sú na hrubšom, kvalitnejšom papieri, ale len na ľahkom kriedovom, ktorý sa môže rýchlo natrhnúť alebo oškrieť. Ale ak obrázky rovno šupnete za sklo a na stenu, netreba sa báť.
