Legends walk the lands of Theros, a realm shaped by deities and the deeds of heroes. From the temples of omen-speaking oracles to the five realms of the Underworld, the champions of the gods vie for immortal favor and a place among the world’s living myths.
Choose a supernatural gift that sets you on the path of destiny, align yourself with one of Theros’s fifteen gods, then carve a tale of odysseys and ordeals across the domains of mortals, gods, and the dead.
What legends will you challenge - mighty heroes, inevitable prophecies, or titans imprisoned by the gods? Where will destiny and immortal schemes lead you? And what tales will you leave behind, celebrated in the pantheon of myths and writ among the eternal stars?
Receive a supernatural gift from the gods, a set of special traits that mark your character for greatness.
Select one of the new races for your character - such mythic peoples as the leonin or a satyr.
New subclasses include the Bard’s College of Eloquence, masters of oratory; and the Paladin’s Oath of Glory, an affirmation of destiny laid out for you by divine providence.
Encounter mythic monsters, creatures whose power and renown are such that their names are truly living myths. More than simply legendary, these creatures have abilities that will create a challenge fit for the gods.
Wield god-weapons, signature items of the gods that allow your character to stand apart from other heroes. These can be a gift from your deity or perhaps you boldly stole it from them in a bid for ultimate power.

A very good guide for creating a campaign in the world of Theros.
I recently got my hands on the Odyssey of the Dragonlords book for 5e, and in comparison, Odyssey of the Dragonlords just feels like a better option for creating a world inspired by Greek mythology.
Velmi dobrá příručka pro vytvoření kampaně ze světa Therosu.
V poslední době se mi dostala do ruky kniha Odyssey of the Dragonlords pro 5e a v porovnání mi prostě přijde Odyssey of the Dragonlords jako lepší varianta vytvoření světa inspirovaného mytologií Řecka.
As someone who has always had a soft spot for the ancient world, especially Greece, and is currently preparing a major campaign set in a world inspired by the ancient Mediterranean, I dove into this sourcebook with gusto. It gave me a ton of ideas, themes, and tools to carve my vision into a functional campaign and bring it to life on paper.
Ako niekto, kto mal vždy slabosť pre staroveký svet a obzvlášť Grécko a pripravuje veľkú kampaň zasadenú do sveta inšpirovaného starovekým Stredozemím, do tejto príručky som sa vrhol s vervou a dala mi kopu nápadov, námetov a prostriedkov, ako svoju víziu vykresať do funkčnej kampane a previesť ju na papier.
Highly recommended. This book is a great addition to the world of Ravnica. It offers content that will make your time on Theros even better. I can't wait to dive into this adventure.
Vrelo odporúčam. Kniha je skvelý prídavok do sveta Ravniky. Ponúka to obsah, ktorý spríjemní pobyt na Therose. Teším sa keď sa vrhneme do tohto dobrodružstva.
In my opinion, this is a bit of a hidden gem among DnD 5e expansions. I'm not sure if it's because there are no orcs, dwarves, or elves in the world of Theros, or if it just had bad luck and was released at the start of Covid.
For me, it's a super rich world, inspired by (not copied from) Greek mythology, revolving around fifteen gods and their virtues as well as their flaws. Even Ephara, the goddess of civilization, can be a villain because she destroys nature while expanding her cities, while Erebos, the god of the dead, might come in handy if you need to resurrect a fallen comrade or stop the undead from taking over the world.
Plus, you just need to read some Greek myths, watch Clash of the Titans, or catch an episode of Hercules or Xena, and you'll have an adventure ready in no time.
Highly recommended!
