I only recently had the chance to read this book and I am absolutely blown away. I'm a huge Tolkien fan and have read everything he ever wrote multiple times. This book is amazing because it lets you peek behind the scenes. While reading, you'll be reminded of many things you already knew, and you'll discover things you never suspected. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Tolkien.
Tuto knihu jsem měl možnost přečíst teprve nedávno a jsem naprosto ohromený. Jsem obrovský fanoušek Tolkiena a několikrát jsem přečetl vše co napsal. Tato kniha je úžasná v tom, že vám dovolí nahlédnout do zákulisí. Člověk si při četbě připomene spoustu věcí které znal, a dozví se věci, které netušil. Každému kdo má rád Tolkiena, bych vřele doporučil, aby si knihu přečetl.
The book's graphic design is well-executed, especially the cover. As for the content, it's a bit weaker; it's more of a summary. If you're already at home in Middle-earth, this won't offer much in terms of new perspective.
Graficky je kniha pěkně zpracovaná, především obal je hezký, co se týče obsahu je to o něco slabší, je to spíš takový výcuc informací, pro ty, kdo jsou ve Středozemi jako doma, to nějaké rozšíření pohledu na její svět nepřinese.
A beautifully crafted cookbook. It doesn't feature photos of the dishes, but it includes charming minimalist illustrations on almost every page, along with images from the LOTR books. It's organized by meal of the day. The recipes are classic, and the ones I've tried are delicious. Every LOTR fan will surely love it.
Veľmi pekne spracovaná kuchárska kniha. Neobsahuje obrázky pokrmov, ale ma milé minimalistické ilustrácie na takmer každej strane, plus sa tu nachádzajú obrázky z LOTR kníh. Rozdelená do jednotlivých jedál dňa. Recepty sú klasické ale čo som vyskúšala sú chutné. Každý fanúšik LOTR sa jej určite poteší.
Finally complete :) I bought Tales from the Perilous Realm as the last one. The delicate b&w illustrations are lovely, and since I've only read these stories in the original so far, I'm really looking forward to this translation.
Konečne komplet :) Ako poslednú som kupovala práve Příběhy z nebezpečné říše. Jemné čb ilustrácie a nakoľko som zatiaľ tieto príbehy čítala len v origináli, tak sa teším na tento preklad.
