Pokud s malováním začínáte, koupí tohoto setu určitě chybu neuděláte. Základní paleta barev, lahvičky s praktickým kapátkem. "Univerzální" štětec, který vydrží.

I was deciding between the Vallejo: Introduction Game Color Set and this one. In the end, I chose this set because it's almost half the price.
Although there are fewer colors, it's perfectly enough to get started. These are my first paints, so I don't have much to compare them with, but I'm satisfied based on my initial tests.
The colors are nice and vibrant (you need to shake them well), and the included brush is good quality too. The only thing that scared me a bit was that when I first opened them, almost all the bottles leaked paint from the dropper, and it wasn't just a small amount.
The website recommends leaving the paint in the room for a few hours (to equalize temperature and pressure), or mixing it by rolling the bottle between your hands and leaving the bottles lying down so the paint flows back from the neck and isn't pushed out by an air bubble. Anyway, I'm careful about that now and it's fine.

Rozhodoval jsem se mezi Vallejo: Introduction Game Color Set a tímto setem. Nakonec jsem zvolil tento set, přeci je jen o téměř polovinu levnější.
Sice barev je tu méně, ale pro začátek to úplně stačí. Jedná se o mé první barvy, tak nemám moc s čím srovnat, nicméně dle prvních testů jsem spokojen.
Barvy jsou pěkné, syté (nutno pořádně promýchat) a štětec v balení je také v dobré kvalitě. Jen co mě trochu vyděsilo bylo, že při prvním otevření skoro u všech lahviček docházelo ke vzlínání barvy z kapátka a nejednalo se zrovna o malé množství.
Na webu doporučují nechat barvu v místnosti pár hodin (srovnaní teploty a tlaku), případně mýchat válením mezi rukama a nechat lahvičky položené, aby barva z hrdla stekla a nebyla vytlačována vzduchovou bublinou v lahvičce. Nicméně teď si na to dávám pozor a již je to v pohodě.

While YouTubers like Miniac might prefer other starter sets, for me (a beginner with no experience with alternatives), this set is perfectly sufficient. The color selection is good, though I'm missing a wood-tone paint.
The wash is excellent; the strong tone works perfectly even if you don't have much experience with washes, and the included brush is great too.
On the other hand, keep in mind that there is no primer in the box, so the starter set isn't ready to use on its own.

Youtubeři jako Miniac sice upřednostňují jiné starter sety, ale pro mně (začátečníka bez srovnání s alternativami) je tahle sada úplně dostačující, respektive výběr barev je dobrý, chybí mi jen nějaká varianta barvy pro dřevo.
Skvělý je wash, protože zrovna strong tone funguje výborně, když nemáte hlubší zkušenost s použvíváním washů, a skvělý je rovněž přiložený štětec.
Na druhou stranu je potřeba si uvědomit, že v balení není žádný primer, takže starter set není k použití jen takhle sám o sobě.

I bought this set as my very first paint set for miniatures. I started by painting heroes from Descent 2 and I'll definitely keep going with them.
They were easy to use, and the included guide was super helpful with some great tips. The brush worked well, but I immediately picked up one for details (Hobby: Super Detail) and one for larger areas (Wargamer: Regiment).

Set jsem koupil jako úplně první barvy na figurky v životě. Začal jsem s malováním hrdinů z Descenta 2, určitě s nimi budu pokračovat i nadále.
Použití bylo snadné, přibalená příručka se mi velmi hodila, byly tam užitečné tipy. Se štetcem se mi pracovalo dobře, rovnou jsem ale přikoupil jeden na detaily (Hobby: Super Detail) a jeden na větší plochy (Wargamer: Regiment).

The paints are no problem at all. They mix easily and are a bit thinner than acrylics from an art supply store. I'm not saying you can't mix your own from regular acrylics, but these definitely make the job easier.
The brush is great for both details and larger areas, and it holds up even when I don't go easy on it.

What surprised me incredibly was the strong tone... it brings the model and its shading to life like nothing else. It's easy to work with and does exactly what it's supposed to. Everything depends on your brushwork, of course, so some skill is required.

In the photo (sorry, it's a bit dark), I first tested the paints on a Junkers bomber, which looks incredible in person... and then I used the paints on figures from Fallout: The Board Game, where my version looks a few levels higher than what other people post and label as professional. Try Googling it.

I definitely recommend them, and not just for beginners.

S farbami nie je ziadny problem. V pohode miesatelne, trochu riedsie ako akrylky z umeleckeho obchodu. Nevravim, ze si ich neviete tiez namiesat z obycajnych akryliek, no rozhodne to ulahci pracu.
Stetec je super aj na detaily aj na vacsie plochy, drzi aj ked ho nesetrim.

Co neskutocne prekvapilo, bol strong tone.... neuveritelne ozivi model a jeho tienovanie, pracovat s nim je jednoduche a robi to co ma. Vsetko samozrejme zalezi od pohybu stetcom, cize nejaky skill je potrebny.

Na fotke(sorry trosku tmava) som testoval farby najprv na bombarderi junkers, ktory v skutocnoti vyzera neuveritelne.... a potom som farby pouzil na figurky z fallout: board game, kde moje prevedenie vyzera o par levelov vyzsie ako ini ludia postuju a oznacuju za profesionalne. skuste pogooglit.

I never considered modeling or anything like that a hobby, but since I've started getting into board games in a big way, I was looking for a beginner set and this one is amazing. I even had the chance to try painting a figure for practice and it's fantastic. The metallic paint is perfect, the basic color selection is definitely enough, and as a bonus, there's a wash for shading included. It also comes with a quick-start painting guide, though keep in mind it's in English.

Nikdy jsem nebral modelařinu ani nic podobného jako koníček, když jsem ted začal ve velkém s deskovkama hledal jsem nějaký set pro nováčka a toto je úžasné.... měl jsem dokonce možnost si nanečisto namalovat figurku a úžasné. Metalická barva je perfektní, základní výběr barev rozhodně stačí a jako bonus je tu i wash na stínování. Součástí je i příručka pro rychlou pomoc při kreslení, nutno ovšem vzít v potaz, že je anglicky.
