Thebes is a unique board game where you become an early 20th-century archaeologist eager to uncover the history of ancient cultures. Thebes features an original game system that hooks everyone.

Just like real archaeologists, players travel across Europe to gain the knowledge required for expeditions to archaeological sites. With the help of assistants, you acquire all the necessary equipment and services. Once prepared, you head to Egypt, Crete, or Mesopotamia to spend weeks digging for valuable artifacts that bring you fame and boost your reputation on the victory point track. You can also increase your reputation by organizing exhibitions or attending congresses. All these activities come at a cost, and your most precious resource is time. The player who manages their time best, balancing excavations with exhibitions and congresses, will earn the most prestige and win the game.
