The box includes disease card holders, keeping everything neatly organized and within reach. A new feature allows you to play as the enemy, spreading diseases yourself. This expansion also adds a new disease (purple). It’s a fantastic way to breathe new life into the base game.

V krabici neleznete krabičky na nemoci, takže jsou krásně hezky po ruce. Novou částí hry je, že lze hrát jako nepřítel, který způsobuje jednotlivé nemoci. Dálé se také přidává nová další nemoc (fialová). Toto rozšíření krásně oživí základní hru.

Pandemic is one of the best cooperative games of all time (2000+) and many die-hard fans insist it never needed, doesn't need, and will never need an expansion.

However, as the number of completed games piles up, a little refreshment is definitely a benefit. On the Brink brings a mutating purple disease, a few mandatory characters and events, and most notably, the role of a devious bioterrorist. While some consider this character a disruption to the peaceful cooperative experience, others see it as the solution to the so-called "alpha player" problem—that one individual who, thanks to their experience, practically plays for everyone else. If this situation keeps happening to you, OtB gives you an elegant way to sideline that alpha male/female and let them ruin your fun from the other side instead.

Whether that’s something you’ll welcome in your games is up to you. For me, OtB is a great expansion, especially for the mutations and the variety brought by the new events and characters.

Pandemic je jednou z nejlepších kooperativních her všech dob (2000+) a mnozí zarputile tvrdí, že rozšíření nepotřeboval, nepotřebuje a nikdy potřebovat nebude.

Nicméně jak se kupí počty ukončených her, trocha oživení je přeci jen ku prospěchu. On the Brink přináší mutující fialovou nemoc, trochu těch povinných postav a událostí a zejména pak charakter podlého bioteroristy. Zatímco někteří považují tuto postavu za rušitele poklidné kooperativní záležitosti, jiní jej označují jako řešení problému tzv. alfa hráče, tedy jedince jež díky svým zkušenostem prakticky hraje za ostatní. Pokud se tedy tato situace stále opakuje, máte díky OtB možnost alfa samce/samici tímto elegantním způsobem vyřadit ze hry a nechat jej/ji kazit Vám zábavu ze druhé strany.

Zdali je to něco, co ve svých partiích uvítáte, je jen na Vás. Za mě OtB je super rozšíření zejména pro mutace a díky variabilitě, kterou přináší nové události a postavy.

One player now plays against the others, spreading diseases instead of helping to eradicate them. Plus, a fifth disease color adds even more to keep track of. The box also includes very stylish Petri dishes for the disease cubes.

Skvělé rozšíření ke skvělé hře, která způsobila obrovský boom kooperativních her, a právem. Je zejména pro ty, kterým přijde základní Pandemic příliš jednoduchý. Jeden z hráčů totiž hraje proti ostatním a šíří nemoci, místo, aby je pomáhal likvidovat. Navíc se přidává i pátá barva nemoci, takže je toho ještě víc, co musíte sledovat. V krabici jsou navíc velmi stylové Petriho misky na kostičky nemocí.
