It is the 26th century and Earth is recovering from a catastrophic explosion that wiped out most of the population. The survivors have split into four so-called Paths, distinct ideologies that rarely cross. These Paths only meet in the last great human settlement – the Capital.

The post-apocalyptic board game Anachrony takes place over several eras as representatives of four different ideologies (the Paths) prepare for a cataclysm. Each faction travels to the Capital or to the devastated wastelands in search of resources. To do this, they need various specialists, such as engineers, scientists, administrators, and geniuses – all of whom require protection and upgrades.

The representatives of the Path that earns the most points during the game will become the most powerful force on the planet and the founders of humanity's next new capital.
