Just when you think everything is under control, an unexpected outbreak hits the other side of the world and spreads rapidly... The beauty of this game is that you don't fight each other; you play together. It's crucial to learn how to make the most of each character's unique abilities. Who flies where? Who treats the sick? Who focuses on research?

Príjemná ale nie jednoduchá kooperatívna hra. Dá sa epidémia zastaviť ľahko? Nedá! A toto táto hra dokáže pekne simulovať. Už už sa vám zdá, že všetko je pod kontrolou, keď v tom nečakane vypukne epidémia na druhom konci sveta a začne sa rýchlo šíriť... Výhoda hry je, že nebojujete proti sebe, ale hráte spolu, a to je dôležité sa naučiť - ako vyťažiť z rozdielnosti postáv? Kto kde poletí? Kto kde bude liečiť? Kto bude vyskúmavať?

Pandemic has been a pioneer and the king of cooperative games since its release. Its extremely simple rules, combined with a satisfying level of challenge, adjustable difficulty, and immersive theme, make it unique. In the game, you take on the roles of scientists and medical professionals working for the CDC. Medic, Dispatcher, Scientist... the game is also an educational experience. Do you know why you start every mission in Atlanta? Pandemic is a tough game; don't let it get to you if you lose several missions in a row. Don't even think about what kind of people you are for letting all of Asia die and spreading bird flu to North America. You just need to reset the board and start again.

Despite all the positives, it's worth noting that many games of Pandemic end due to luck, and many end in a win because of it. Pandemic suffers from the "alpha player" problem more than any other game (perhaps because it was one of the first cooperative games, and thus less refined), and it can start to feel slightly repetitive after 20 plays. Nevertheless, for me, it is the most scientific cooperative game out there. A must-buy!

Pandemic je průkopníkem i králem kooperativních her od roku, kdy vyšel. Extrémně jednoduchá pravidla a zároveň dostatečná náročnost, možnost volby obtížnosti a tématičnost hry je jedinečná. Ve hře se chápete rolí vědeckých a lékařských pracovníků pracujících pro CDC. Medik, Dispečer, Vědec ... hra tak je i osvětovým počinem. Víte, proč každou misi začínáte v Atlantě? Pandemic je hra tvrdá, nesmí Vás rozhodit, pokud několik misí za sebou nevyhrajete. Nesmíte ani přemýšlet o tom, co jste to za lidi, kteří nechali celou Asii zemřít a rozšířit ptačí chřipku do Severní Ameriky. Je třeba rozložit plán a začít znovu.

I přes všechna pozitiva je třeba poznamenat, že mnoho her Pandemicu končí kvůli náhodě, mnoho díky náhodně končí výhrou. Pandemic trpí alfa-hráčem jako žádná jiná hra (možná právě proto, že je mezi kooperativními hrami více méně první - tedy neodladěný) a po 20ti hrách začne být lehce repetitivní. Nicméně za mě nejvíc vědecká kooperativní hra. Must buy!

A fantastic game that sparked a massive boom in cooperative gaming. It’s back in a new, much more appealing look with a few tweaks compared to the original version. This game is a classic for a reason. An amazing (and unfortunately likely always relevant) theme, high difficulty (meaning it’s tough to win, not that the rules are hard to learn—you’ll pick those up in no time), and now a great-looking design. What more could you ask for?

Skvělá hra, která způsobila obrovský boom kooperativních her. Vyšla v novém, mnohem líbivějším kabátku a s pár změnami oproti původní verzi. Hra je už klasikou právem. Úžasné (a pravděpodobně bohužel asi i vždy aktuální) téma, vysoká složitost (tím myslím, že je složité ji vyhrát, rozhodně ne pochopit pravidla, to máte za chvilku), a teď i koukavý vzhled. Co víc si přát?

A great cooperative game that's easy to pick up, and every session feels completely different. It's fantastic fun with friends, though it's a shame it only supports a small number of players.

Skvělá kooperativní hra, nepříliš složitá no pochopení a každá hra je naprosto jiná... Výborná zábava s přáteli, jen škoda, že je pro malý počet hráčů.
