Mothership RPG Core Set

Mothership is a labor of love. If you enjoy Alien, Coriolis, or Death in Space, this is a fantastic addition. The rules are lightweight yet offer plenty of depth. The set includes not just the player's guide, but also the Warden's manual, an introductory adventure, a bestiary of sorts, dice, and a ship manual. You also get tokens, standees, and a double-sided map of the ship's interior. More than enough to get your game started. The fact that the manuals are separate also prevents spoilers for players that are meant only for the GM.

The entire box is surprisingly compact. I'm attaching a photo comparing it to the Alien starter set. Yet, it's packed with information, tables, and examples... I couldn't find a single wasted space. The manuals contain exactly what they should. No filler, just a solid manual with nothing to complain about. Thumbs up for the GM/Warden guide. It features a perfect recipe for creating your own adventures that you can even use for other RPGs. It's not just roll tables, but dense and clear theorycrafting.

I highly recommend this set. It's not just a good system, but a perfectly executed piece of work—graphically clear and atmospheric. Plus, it has a fairly active community and plenty of materials to download, including a character generation app.

Mothership je s láskou dělané RPG. Pokud máte rádi Alien, Coriolis, nebo Death in Space, tohle je skvělý doplněk. Pravidla jsou lehká, ale zároveň nabízí dost možností. Set obsahuje nejen příručku hráče, ale i vypravěče, ukázkové dobrodružství, něco jako bestiář, kostky a manuál lodí. Tokeny, stojánky a oboustrannou mapu pro střed lodí. Víc než dost do startu hry. To že jsou manuály oddělené, navíc zabrání úniku informací, které jsou vhodné jen pro GM.

Celé balení je překvapivě maličké. Posílám fotku se srovnáním vůči starter setu Alienů. Je ale napráskané informacemi, tabulkami, přiklady... Nenašel jsem prázdné místo. Příručky obsahovaly přesně co mají obsahovat. Žádnou nastavovanou kaši, ale poctivý manuál, kterému není co vytknout. Palec nahoru za GM/Warden příručku. Je v ní perfektní kuchařka pro vytváření vlastních dobrodružství, kterou lze použít pro jiné RPG. Nejen roletables, ale hutný a přehledný theorycrafting.

Set můžu jen doporučit. Je to nejen dobrý systém, ale perfektně odvedená práce, graficky přehledné a atmosférické. Navíc má docela aktivní komunitu a spoustu materiálů ke stažení včetně aplikace na generování postav.
