At first glance, Death in Space might look like a modest, slim book, but it packs a surprising amount of potential. I own Mörk Borg as well, and I have to say, the rules in Death in Space feel better—and definitely not more complicated. Compared to Mörk Borg, they’ve been tweaked to be less punishing, yet they still force you to think before you dive headfirst into action.

I can also compare it to the often-praised Mothership, which I also have at home—and honestly? I’d rather reach for Death in Space. I love the combination of simple rules and the character progression system, which adds depth to the game without unnecessary complexity.

Death in Space je na první pohled nenápadná a nepříliš objemná kniha, ale skrývá v sobě překvapivě velký potenciál. Mám doma i Mörk Borg a musím říct, že pravidla Death in Space mi přijdou lepší – a rozhodně ne složitější. Oproti Mörk Borg jsou upravená tak, aby nebyla tak extrémně trestající, ale i tak vás nutí přemýšlet, než se bezhlavě vrhnete do akce.

Mohu srovnávat i s často vychvalovaným Mothershipem, který mám rovněž doma – a upřímně? Raději sáhnu po Death in Space. Líbí se mi kombinace jednoduchých pravidel a možnosti postupného růstu postav, která hře dodává hloubku bez zbytečné složitosti.
