In August 1847, following a series of victories against Santa Anna, Winfield Scott's American army reached the gates of Mexico City. Molino Del Rey: Gateway to Mexico City is a wargame featuring the new "Musket & Saber" system, which faithfully recreates combat during the Mexican-American War. The system is intuitive and requires no rifle counting. It highlights significant differences between infantry, artillery, and cavalry. Units can become demoralized and flee the battlefield, and the fortunes of war can shift at any moment.
