A new dawn for the galaxy

Peace has reigned across the galaxy for many years. Following the end of the brutal Terran-Hegemony War (30,027 – 33,364), the galactic powers invested immense effort and resources to ensure such horrors would never happen again. The Galactic Council was formed to maintain this hard-won peace, and throughout its existence, its members have taken many bold steps to prevent hostile confrontations from escalating. Yet, in recent years, tension and distrust have been growing among the seven strongest nations, spilling over into the Council itself. Old alliances are crumbling, and new diplomatic agreements are being forged in the shadows. It seems a military conflict between the superpowers is inevitable.

Only one question remains: who will emerge as the ultimate victor? Which faction will rise from the ashes of war more powerful than before and lead the galaxy under its banner? The shadows of mighty civilizations are preparing to plunge the entire galaxy into darkness. Now, it is up to you to lead your people to victory!

In the epic sci-fi board game Eclipse, you take command of a vast interstellar civilization and compete against other nations for dominance over the galaxy. During each round, you can expand your civilization by exploring and occupying new hex sectors, researching technologies, and building spaceships to deploy in battle.

The game ends after eight rounds, and the player with the most Victory Points wins. There are many paths to victory. You must adapt your strategy to your civilization's strengths and weaknesses, and keep a close eye on the plans of other nations!

• Civilization components: 8 interceptors, 4 cruisers, 2 dreadnoughts, 4 starbases, 33 population cubes, 16 influence discs, and 3 ambassador tiles for each player.
