Cosplay Guide: Part 1 - What You'll Need

Do you admire cosplayers at fan events with their incredibly detailed costumes? Have you ever felt sad that you don't have a costume of your own? That's exactly what happened to our lovely model Šárka, a huge Predator fan. She set her heart on a Machiko Noguchi costume.

If you're racking your brain trying to place the name, here's a hint – we're talking about the Japanese-human woman who was accepted into the Predator clan. You might have encountered her in the Alien vs. Predator comic series or the movie of the same name.

Šárka teamed up with Ronne, our expert cosplay consultant, and together they're preparing a video series to guide you through the entire costume-making process.

In the first episode of our Cosplay Guide, the girls focus on the very basics. They'll introduce you to materials, tools, and essential techniques. They'll show you how to work with EVA foam, foam clay, or cosplayflex. They'll also cover the necessary tools, 3D printing, and leatherwork. But most of all, expect plenty of sanding, drilling, and cutting 🙂.

With this knowledge, you'll easily be able to plan even more complex costumes. In the second part, our instructors will focus on taking measurements and creating basic patterns.
