An absolutely excellent game that uses the familiar aerial combat system from Wings of Glory. The ship miniatures are truly stunning, and you can clearly read every inscription and detail with a magnifying glass. Different types of ships even feature different weathering (the base set includes Apollo's Viper Mk.II with weathering and one generic Viper Mk.II without it) based on the pilot's experience level.

The game also introduces an element of real physics, which it presents in an easily accessible way using each ship's control panels. Furthermore, the game guides you from the simplest basics to more complex elements. It leaves many of the more intricate rules and additional features entirely up to you, so you can decide whether to include them or not. You can essentially play the game as anything from an arcade experience to a full-blown simulation.

It's a real shame that Ares Games lost the license for the Battlestar Galactica brand, making the game and its components very hard to find now....

Naprosto výborná hra, která používá známý systém leteckých soubojů z Wings of Glory. Miniatury lodí jsou opravdu nádherné a lze na nich s lupou přečíst zřetelně každý nápis a detail. Různé druhy lodí mají i různou patinu (v základní sadě je Apollův Viper Mk.II s patinou a jeden generický Viper Mk.II bez ní) podle úrovně zkušeností pilota.

Do hry navíc vstupuje prvek reálné fyziky, který ale hra podává snadno uchopitelnou formou pomocí ovládacích panelů každé lodi. Navíc vás hra provede od nejjednodušších základů až po složitější prvky. Spoustu složitějších pravidel a dalších prvků hra nechává přímo na vás, jestli do hry chcete zařadit nebo ne. Dá se tedy v podstatě hru hrát od arkády až po kompletní simulaci.

Je velká škoda, že Ares Games přišlo o licenci na značku Battlestar Galactica a proto je už hra i komponenty do ní velice těžké sehnat....
