Yunnan – home of the delicious Pu-erh tea. For over 1,000 years, local tea plantations have provided this sought-after beverage, while horse caravans have carried it as far as distant Tibet. The network of Tea Horse Roads winds through the jungles of Yunnan, across the steppes of Sichuan, and up to the peaks of the Himalayas. Such is the traditional path of the tea merchants.

In the game Yunnan, you hold the fate of your tea plantation in your hands. Your main goal is to build an extensive and secure trade network to deliver tea to the most remote provinces. Naturally, you must do it better than your competitors; you will train new merchants, acquire the best horses, and secure enough travel permits to cross borders freely. Trading alone isn't enough to beat the competition. The teahouse plays a major social and prestigious role. It also comes in handy when you need to appease the provincial inspector.

Yunnan is perfect for players who love tactical development games. Thanks to the intertwining game mechanics, you stay involved at all times, and a wide range of actions allows for various strategies. The game contains no element of luck. Only a player who calculates well, targets the right opponent, and reacts correctly and in time can win.
