The Palaces of Carrara

In the board game The Palaces of Carrara, you take on the role of a noble family head buying marble from Carrara, Italy. The King wants to beautify 6 cities with your marble wonders—you will build structures, add decorations, and place statues.

Carrara marble is legendary, and you want to acquire it as cheaply as possible. There is a catch, though: any price reduction also benefits your opponents. Perhaps it is more profitable to invest directly in buildings made from this exclusive marble—or will you seize the opportunity to buy top-quality marble as soon as buildings made from common marble are no longer lucrative?

The Palaces of Carrara is the second edition of this game, featuring a revised rulebook and a brand-new variant for advanced players, which introduces many new strategies and scoring methods. The advanced mode offers statues that allow you to score buildings in many new ways.

Which family will succeed and which will be forgotten? The game might reach its conclusion sooner than you expect! The noble family with the most victory points wins.
