Star Wars: Imperial Assault - Bantha Rider Villain Pack

Some expansions for Star Wars: Imperial Assault are essential. Others you just get for the fun of it :) The Bantha Rider definitely falls into the latter category.

This large figure comes in several pieces that you need to assemble, crafted with the attention to detail that is standard for FFG. Unfortunately, the base isn't perfectly flat and wobbles a bit, and the parts don't fit together perfectly snugly. That said, it definitely doesn't stop you from playing with it.

It works great, especially with the first expansion (Twin Shadows) or for the game's skirmish mode.

Jsou rozšíření, která jsou k Star Wars: Imperial Assault nutností. A pak jsou ta, která si musíte mít pro radost :) A Bantha Rider je spíš z té druhé kategorie.

Velká figurka, kterou je nutno složit z několika částí, je provedena s pečlivostí, jaká je u FFG standardem. Bohužel je pravda, že podstavec není rovný a trošku se vlní a jednotlivé díly přiléhají spíše volně. Určitě ale ne tak, že by se s figurkou nedalo hrát.

Výborně se hodí zejména k prvnímu rozšíření (Twin Shadows) nebo do skirmish módu hry.

I think this is the case for all these figures (foreign forums suggest the same), but the Bantha figure is falling apart on its own. The base is warped, making the creature look like it's on a snowboard. It doesn't bother me yet—it's actually good for painting—but the figure doesn't work well for immediate use. I really like the figure for the game itself: with the right combination of command cards, you can literally trample your opponent by the end of the first round and take a huge step toward victory. I dare say there isn't another figure in the game that can do the same. The model itself looks exactly as it should, and the Bantha with its rider commands respect.

Myslím, že je to tak u všech figurek (i zahraniční fóra tomu napovídají), každopádně figurka Banthy se samovolně rozkládá, podstavec je zkroucený a zvíře tak vypadá jako na snowboardu. Zatím mi to nevadí, pro malování figurek je to dokonce dobře, pak to slepím, ale pro okamžité použití figurka příliš nefunguje. Pro samotnou hru mám figurku moc rád: při dobré kombinaci command karet je možné soupeře doslova rozdupat do konce prvního kola a udělat tak velmi výrazný krok k vítězství. Dovoluji si tvrdit, že další jiná figurka, která by dokázala toto samé, ve hře není. Samotný model vypadá tak, jak by vypadat měl a Bantha i s jezdcem vyvolávají respekt.

A large figure for the third party in the game. The Tusken Raider on Bantha expands the game primarily for skirmish mode if you don't own the Twin Shadows expansion, as the campaign missions require map tiles from that set.

The figure I received had some minor manufacturing gaps. The Bantha's head, tail, and base don't hold together well, and the Tusken can wobble in the saddle :-) . This is easily fixed with some padding or glue.

Velká figurka pro třetí stranu ve hře. Písečný člověk (Tusken) na Bantě rozšiřuje hru především pro skirmish pokud nevlastníte rozšíření Twin Shadows, neboť mise do kampaně vyžaduje mapové dílky z tohoto rozšíření.

Figurka která mi došla měla malé mezery ve zpracování. Bantě nedrží pohromadě hlava, ocas ani podstavec a Tusken může v sedle vysedávat :-) . Lze vyřešit jednoduše podložením nebo přilepením.
