A standalone game from the Small World universe, this time set in the underworld with powerful magic springs. The game features 15 new races that you can combine with 21 special abilities. The rules are similar to the original Small World game, so you can bring all previously released races and their abilities into Underground. A new addition includes locations with ancient artifacts of immense power, guarded by monsters.

Small World with a twist – this time underground! It’s technically the same as the base game, but with a few extra rules like water control for specific races, relics, and special units. It’s a great game, of course, but I have to admit it drags a little compared to the original. Expect to add another half hour to an hour of playtime. We also tried combining it with the base SW; it took twice as long, but it was an interesting experience!
Smallworld z jiného soudku a to v podzemí! Je technicky vzato stejný jako základ ale s pár menšími pravidly navíc jako třeba ovládání vod s určitou rasou, relikvie, speciální jednotky... Hra je to samozřejmě skvělá, ale musím uznat, že oproti základu se to trošinku táhne. Odehrajete asi tak půl až hodinu více. Vyzkoušeli jsme i spojení se základním SW a trvalo to dvakrát déle, ale bylo to jinak zajímavé!

My initial dread of having to play an unknown game full of rules quickly turned into genuine excitement. The game is truly great and forces you to think about strategy. I had to buy it for myself right away. Highly recommended.
Musím říct, že jsem hru hrál na poslední hodině firemní angličtiny. Lektor nám předem poslal odkaz na vide https://youtu.be/X9QtdiRJYro. Z počátečního zděšení, že budu muset hrát neznámou hru plnou pravidel, jsem přešel v nebývalé nadšení. Hra je opravdu skvělá a nutí hráče uvažovat o strategii. Hned jsem si ji musel taky koupit. Můžu jen doporučit.
A standalone "expansion" for Small World. It targets more experienced players—both in the original game and in gaming in general. Some concepts from Underground (like the river) have been used in other expansions (Realms and River World).
Factions and abilities from Underground can be used in the classic Small World and vice versa. With the Tunnels expansion, you can easily combine both games.
Samostatně hratelné "rozšíření" Malého světa. Cílené je spíše na zkušenější hráče - zkušenější jak v půvpodní hře tak i obecně. Některé koncepty z Podzemí (třeba řeka) našly uplatnění i v dalších rozšířeních (Realms a River World).
Národy a schopnosti z Podzemí lze využít v klasickém Malém světě a vice versa. Z rozšířením tunely lze obě hry pěkně kombinovat.
This Small World variant didn't grab me as much as the base game. Due to backward compatibility with the original, the combinations of races and powers are already quite complex, and even after several games, I couldn't memorize some of them. While the pictograms in the base game clearly explained what each power/race does, it's very problematic here.
I wasn't a fan of the artwork either; it feels quite cluttered, and some races are hard to distinguish from one another.
The new element—items and locations—adds more confusion to the game. Sometimes it's really hard to keep track of who controls what and to calculate all the possibilities on the board.
A fairly interesting game variant is the duel without using items and locations, but it was in this specific mode that some race and power combinations proved to be very unbalanced.
Tato varianta Smallworldu mě neoslovila tolik jako základní hra. Kombinace ras a povolání jsou z důvodu zpětné kompatibility se základem už dost složité, a ani po několika partiích jsem si některé nedokázal zapamatovat. Zatímco piktogramy v základní hře jasně vysvětlovaly, co které povolání/rasa umí, tady je to hodně problematické.
Moc mě neoslovila ani grafika, působí značně nepřehledně, některé rasy se mezi sebou špatně rozeznávají.
Nový prvek - předměty a lokace - přidává do hry spíše zmatek, někdy je už hodně těžké sledovat, co kdo ovládá a kalkulovat se všemi možnostmi na hracím plánu.
Docela zajímavá varianta hry je duel bez použití předmětů a lokací, ale právě v této variantě se ukázalo, že jsou některé kombinace rasy a povolání hodně nevyvážené.

New to this game compared to the original Small World are relics and places that grant you interesting bonuses for the territories you conquer. Recommended for all Small World fans and anyone looking for a simple game where you primarily fight for your spot in the small underground world.
Samostatně stojící hra čerpající z konceptu Small worldu. Opět se ujmete jednoho národa, s kterým bude dobývat území tentokrát podzemí. Novinkou v této hře oproti původnímu Small Worldu jsou památky a relikvie, které vám za dobyté území přínosu zajímavé bonusy. Doporučují všem milovníkům small worldu a všem, kteří hledají jednoduchou hru, kde budete především o své místečko v malém světě podzemí.
