Small World received such a warm welcome that Days of Wonder decided to host a unique contest where fans could design their own expansions for the game. Most entries featured new races and special powers, but some truly original ideas emerged as well (like Leaders or Tales and Legends). Grande Dames was the first of these, bringing three new races and two special powers to the table. All of them enrich the gameplay experience and boost the game's replayability.
