Rattus

The game Rattus takes place in 1347 medieval Europe, as the Black Death sweeps across the Old Continent, halving the population over the next 4-5 years. Your goal is to keep as many of your people alive as possible by the time the plague finally recedes.

Players start in different European regions and try to resist the plague in various ways: peasants provide population growth, wise monks keep infected rats at bay, wealthy merchants flee the contagion, and kings hide in their fortified palaces. Conversely, knights can spread the disease to new areas through war, and witches use their dark magic to do the same.

However, the plague makes no exceptions: when the rats arrive, no one is safe.
