Description
Skandian Oberjarl Erak leads a raid on the coast of the desert land of Arrida, but he gets discovered, captured, and imprisoned. His second-in-command, Svengal, travels to Araluen to ask for help. First off, I have to praise the cover again (much better than the old one). As for the story, this volume is unique in terms of setting, and the plot is quite tangled and moves along very quickly. I came across quite a few moments that genuinely surprised me, and from about halfway through, I couldn't put the book down at all. While we don't get any major epic battles (which personally disappointed me a bit), the ending was still worth it, and all the main characters finally came together, so I honestly have to say that (aside from the battle) I didn't miss a thing in this volume.
Zase v první řadě chválím obálku (mnohem lepší než ta stará). Co se týče děje je tenhle díl výjimečný co se prostředí týče a děj je tu dost zamotaný a hodně rychle se posouvá. Narazila jsem na dost momentů, co mě vyloženě překvapily a asi od půlky knížky už jsem se nedokázala odtrhnout vůbec. Sice se nedočkáme žádného většího epic boje (což mě osobně dost zklamalo), ale závěr i tak stál za to a konečně se nám sešly všechny hlavní postavy dohromady, takže upřímně musím říct, že (až na tu bitvu) mi v tomto díle nic nechybělo.
