Leipzig: Napoleon Encircled is a wargame set during the Napoleonic Wars, focusing specifically on the Battle of Leipzig. In 1813, Napoleon fell victim to his own success—after his "Grande Armée" ravaged most of Europe, the Prussians, Austrians, Russians, Swedes, and other nations formed the Sixth Coalition.

The game uses the new "Musket & Saber" system, which faithfully depicts combat during the Napoleonic era. This system is intuitive and includes all the details needed to simulate the unique aspects of 19th-century warfare. Units can become demoralized and flee the battlefield, and the fortunes of war can shift at any moment.
