Kaosball: The Fantasy Sport of Total Domination

Kaosball is a game by Eric Lang and Cool Mini Or Not, and as such, it has all the hallmarks you'd expect from this duo. Cool Mini Or Not delivered high-quality production—visually appealing, detailed miniatures, and magnetic team boards where you place your (also magnetic) upgrade cards and more.

It's important to realize that this isn't really a sports game, even if the name suggests otherwise. The ball definitely isn't the point; in fact, it's often a disadvantage to hold it. You're much more likely to win if you just keep hacking away at the other team... and hacking... and hacking. And then, just by the way, try to be standing on a scoring spot at the end of the period.

What disappointed me about this game is that even though it's declared for 2-4 players, it doesn't work at all with 3, and it's terrible with 4. They should have just labeled it for 2 players, as that's the only viable way to play.

Kaosball je hra od Erica Langa a Cool Mini Or Not a jako taková má všechny atributy, na které je od této dvojky člověk zvyklý. Cool Mini Or Not zajistilo kvalitní provedení - vizuálně hezké, detailní figurky, magnetické desky týmů, na které se dávají (taktéž magnetické) kartičky upgradů a tak.

Co je důležité si uvědomit, tato hra se nedá označit za sportovní, i když by tomu název napovídal. O ten míč tu rozhodně nejde, spíš naopak, v podstatě není výhodné ho držet. Mnohem spíš totiž člověk vyhraje, pokud bude druhý tým řezat...a řezat...a řezat. A jen tak mimochodem se na konci periody snaží stát na vhodném skórovacím místě.

Co mě na této hře zklamalo je to, že i když je deklarovaná jako hra pro 2-4, tak ve 3 vůbec nefunguje a ve 4 je příšerná. Takže měli rovnou dát označení pro 2 hráče, protože to je jediná použitelná varianta.
