Gearworld: The Borderlands is a strategy board game set in a slightly dysfunctional steampunk future, where the land is choked by the stench and smoke of omnipresent machines. Part of the population has fled to flying cities built in the clouds, others have hidden underground, and the rest survive on the surface as scavengers, living off the trash discarded by those in the sky. The machines of the surface dwellers have broken down, and the flying cities are facing a crisis of their own, with only dwindling scraps of energy remaining. The sky-dwellers have asked the scavengers to build them energy towers—skyworks. They know the surface dwellers will gladly build them in exchange for supplies and scraps; they have been watching them from above all along. And the scavengers? They will gladly go to war for the favor of the sky-dwellers—the gang war begins!

Gearworld: The Borderlands is a game of combat and survival in a post-apocalyptic world for 2-4 players. Players form trade relationships and alliances, fight for territory, and extract resources to build energy towers. You need to be a skilled negotiator and remember that while alliances are binding, they aren't eternal.
