Flint is a form of quartz, a stone that splits easily. The flint flake we offer is perfect for striking with a steel fire striker. Since this is a natural material, each piece varies in both shape and size.
How to do it?
To get a spark, you need a flint with a sharp edge. Striking the steel against the edge of the stone creates a spark, which you must catch in prepared tinder. It takes a bit of practice and patience, but once the spark catches in dry tinder fungus, cattail, or birch bark, just blow on it gently and you have a fire. 🔥Parameters and specifications:

This is a serious piece of stone; check out the included AAA battery for scale. It’s got some weight to it, but it throws sparks nicely. Either way, it takes some practice.
Skutečně se jedná o pořádný kus kamene, přiložená mikrotužková baterka pro srovnání a představu. Váha tudíž narůstá, ale jiskry háže hezky. Každopádně to chce tréning.

Pokud nemáte možnost hledat a shánět sami pak je to určitě velmi dobrá volba, za příznivou cenu. S trochou cviku s křesadlem není větší problém rozdělat oheń během pár chvil.

Podle popisu jsem si řekl: hmm něco co nacpu bez problémů do kapsy pak přišel obrovskej šutr, to jsem koukal. Tohle na opasek asi nepůjde.
It sparks really well, just don't be afraid to strike it hard. You might scrape your fingers occasionally, but that's just part of the fun. I give it five stars because I'm tired of digging through sand pits.
Křeše dost dobře, hlavně se nebát dát ránu. Občas si třeba odřete prsty, ale to už tak nějak patří k věci. Za mě pět, jelikož prohledávání pískoven mě nebaví.
As soon as I picked it up, I had to try it out. I cut my finger on the first strike, but I kept on sparking. This thing is excellent.
Jak mile jsem to vzal do ruky musel jsem to hned vyzkoušet. Při prvním křesáním jsem si prořízl prst do krve, ale křesal jsem dál. Tohle je výborná věc.
