A great, simple, and easy-to-learn game that will keep you entertained. However, the 8-minute playtime is inaccurate. You often need to devise and rethink your strategies to crush your opponents, which takes some time.

A huge amount of fun with really nice graphics. The only downside is the static game board (though that can be solved).

Skvělá jednoduchá a nenáročná hra, která vás zabaví. 8 minut ale herní doba není. Častokrát je nutné vymyslet a přehodnocovat strategie válcování soupeře a to nějaký čas zabere.

Velká porce zábavy s moc hezkou grafikou. Jediné mínus je nevariabilní herní plán (dá se samozřejmě řešit).

Eight-Minute Empire is a simple area control game. You can explain the rules in a few minutes, and the games themselves won't take much longer. On your turn, you buy a card that lets you perform an action on the board (move your army, recruit new units, build a city, etc.) while also collecting one of five resources. You earn victory points for these resources at the end of the game, just as you do for the territories you control.
With such simple mechanics, the game offers two layers: fighting for regions on the map and collecting resources. Eight-Minute Empire is a light, relaxing game that will entertain both beginners and seasoned board game veterans.

Eight-Minute Empire je jednoduchá "area control" hra, jejíž pravidla vysvětlíte během pár minut a samotné partie nebudou o moc delší. Ve svém tahu kupujete kartu, která vám umožní provést akci na herním plánu (pohnout armádou, rekrutovat nové jednotky, stavět město apod.) a zároveň získáte jednu z pěti surovin, za které na konci hry obdržíte vítězné body - stejně jako za vámi ovládané území.
Hra tak jednoduchou mechanikou nabízí dvě roviny - boj o regiony na mapě a sběr surovin. Eight-Minute Empire je nenáročná oddechovka, která zabaví jak začínající hráče, tak zkušené deskoherní harcovníky.
