I'm a beginner DM and this is absolutely perfect for me. At first, the dice seemed really plain, but the longer I have them, the more I like them :D. It contains everything a starting DM needs. I only started the Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign recently, but after 2 sessions, it's been great so far.

I've had this for half a year. It met all my expectations. The craftsmanship is great. The quality is excellent. This kit is perfect for beginners, just like a starter set. The box includes: High-quality, good-looking dice. A DM screen that comes in handy. A great story. Basic rules. Beautifully illustrated and described cards (though the English might be a slight hurdle for some). A map of the Sword Coast and Phandalin. 6 blank character sheets.

I'm just starting with DnD and I can highly recommend this set. The rules are written in a small booklet, so no one gets intimidated like they would if you threw a 300-page book at them. The story is simple and it's perfect for getting your feet wet. It's a shame the Dungeon Master's screen isn't the classic hard one, but for such a great price, that would be asking for too much. I recommend buying a few extra sets of dice so everyone has their own and you don't have to pass them around.

Začínáme s DnD a tenhle set mohu jen doporučit. Pravidla jsou sepsány v malé brožurce, takže se nestane, že by se někdo zalekl, jako kdyby jste před něj hodili 300 stránkovou knihu. Příběh je jednoduchý a na rozkoukání se je to idealka. Škoda že dungeon master screen není ta klasická tvrdá, ale to bych za takovou krásnou cenu chtěl už moc. Doporučuji dokoupit několik sad kostek aby měl každý svoje a nemuseli jste si je podávat.

An awesome set for playing D&D, especially for beginners. I chose this version over the Starter Set. I think it's much better value. The DM screen is just heavy paper, but it's great for a beginner. More dice are always a plus, the cards are a cool bonus, and the map is really well-made. If only this were available in Czech or Slovak, it would be perfect. :)

Parádny set pre hranie DD a hlavne pre začiatočníkov. Dal som prednosť tejto variante pred Starter kitom. Myslím si, že sa to oplatí oveľa viac. Zástena pre DM mastra je síce len tvrdší papier, ale pre začiatočníka je super aj to. Viac kociek poteší, kartičky sú super bonus a mapa je veľmi pekne spravená. Keby sa toto dá kúpiť aj v slovenčine alebo češtine, tak by to bolo dokonalé. :)

Great stuff! I got hooked on D&D through 'Krotitelé draků' and decided to give it a shot myself. I tried a mini-session with friends, and since they were thrilled, I immediately bought the Essentials Kit and we started playing.
Thanks to this combo, we're playing Lost Mine of Phandelver with our own characters, a DM screen, and a large map of the Sword Coast… it’s just awesome… we’re all beginners and I don't think we're missing a thing. For me, it was a bit challenging to get the hang of the rules and the story at first, and it took quite some work to organize my notes, but I believe the result is worth it.
I try to show the rules to the players gradually so I don't overwhelm them, and they're starting to get the hang of it. Huge satisfaction. And as always, a seamless order through Imago.

Skvelá vec, D&D som prepadol prostredníctvom Krotiteľom drakov a tak som si povedal že to skúsim aj ja. S kamarátmi som skúsil jedno mini sedenie a keďže boli nadšení rovno som prikúpil aj essentials kit a začali sme hrať.
Vďaka tejto kombinacii hráme Straceny dul Phandelveru s vlastnými postavami, DM screenom a veľkou mapou Mecoveho pobrežia… proste pecka … sme všetci začiatočníci a myslím si že nám nič nechýba. Pre mna bolo náročnejšie vyznať sa na začiatok v pravidlách a v príbehu, dalo mi dosť práce spracovať si poznámky, ale verím že výsledok stojí za to.
Hracom sa snažím pravidla ukazovať postupne aby som ich nezahltil a začínajú sa chytať. Veľká spokojnosť. A cez Imago ako vždy bezproblémová objednávka.

This set is a great starter not just for new players, but especially for new DMs who lack confidence or simply want some pre-made material.

My group already owned some content on D&D Beyond, so we didn't need the rules, but we made full use of the adventure and the map.

The dice are basic, nothing fancy, but they work and you get plenty of them—which always comes in handy.

The adventures are simple in terms of content, easy to understand, and classic. There's even a dragon, just as the title suggests. I don't think Icespire is a bad adventure, but if you add your own ideas to the individual quests, it'll be a blast.

Tahle sada je skvělým starterem nejen pro nové hráče, ale hlavně nové DM, kteří si moc nevěří a nebo prostě chtějí nějaký předpřipravený material.

Moje skupina, která má už koupený nějaký obsah na DnDbeyond nepotřebovala pravidla, každopádně dobrodružství a mapu jsme využili na plno.

Kostky jsou čirý erár, nejsou fancy, ale jsou funkční a je jich víc - a to se hodí vždy.

Dobrodružství jsou jednoduchá (co se týče náplně), srozumitelná a klasická. Dokonce je tady drak, jak název dobrodružství napovídá. Myslím si, že Icespire není špatný dobrodružství, ale pokud využijete svoje nápady a plácnete je do jednotlivých úkolů, bude to jízda.
