If you're creating stone, the easiest way is to cover the entire base with Nuln Oil and, once dry, dry brush it with white (Praxeti White).

This is the kind of stuff Bruce Willis must have been walking on when he flew off to drill that asteroid in space. The paint is quite thick, so I prefer to slather it on using my fiancée's nail file.

A great technical paint used here on the base and then painted over with Zandri Dust. A very nice, fine-grained effect.

I didn't expect to like it this much. I use it on stone and it creates a truly amazing effect. For a slight change, just add a few drops of another color to get a beautiful result. The photo shows it used on a stone base with clay grout. I used this effect on both.

This product isn't exactly my favorite, but that's probably just personal preference. I've used it as an asphalt base for other figures. Here, I tried to mask Astrogranite a bit to look like dirt, and I'm not entirely thrilled. You definitely need to shake it well, apply it with a spatula, and don't pack it down. The more protrusions, the better the result seemed to be. Once it dries by the next day, finish the details with a dry brush.

Produkt není úplně můj oblíbený, ale to je asi jen osobní preferencí. U jiných figurek se mi hodil jako asfaltový podklad. Tady jsem zkoušela Astrogranite trochu zamaskovat jako hlínu a nejsem úplně nadšená. Je rozhodně třeba pořádně protřepat, nanášet špachtlí a neuducávat. Čím více výčnělků, tím lepší mi výsledek přišel. Po zaschnutí do druhého dne dry brushem dodělat detaily.

Astrogranite is an excellent texture paint for basing your miniatures. It creates a truly realistic asphalt effect. With this paint, your miniatures will definitely not look boring, and it takes a fraction of the time compared to adding artificial grass or similar basing effects. The only downside is the small volume; this paint runs out much faster than other liquid Citadel paints.

Astrogranite je výborná barva pro tvorbu podstav figurek. Vytváří opravdu realistický efekt asfaltu. S touto barvou vaše figurky rozhodně nebudou vypadat nudně a to za zlomek času, který zabere přidělávání umělé trávy a podobných efektů na podstavu figurky. Jen škoda velmi malého objemu, tato barva se totiž ztrácí mnohem rychleji, než ostatní, tekuté barvy Citadel.
