I haven't been painting miniatures by hand for a while now, so I don't get paint all over my fingers anymore—which is honestly a mess, especially when you accidentally smudge that gunk onto the figure. I have to point out, though, that not all miniatures hold well in the holder; if you turn it upside down, they can easily fall out. So, yes, it's practical, but it won't save you. If the miniature wiggles loose while you've got a brush in your hand, it's just going to drop (onto your desk, or worse, into your lap or paint palette). A three-sided grip would definitely be more effective.
Jako už nějakou dobu figurky nemaluju v ruce a díky toho si nepatlám barvu všude po prstech, což je teda někdy kekel, obvzlášť když pak figurku tím sajrajtem z prstů nechtěně obarvíte. Musím ale zdůraznit, že ne všechny figurky v držáku dobře drží a pokud je budete držet vzhůru nohama, můžou vám dost jednoduše vypadnout. Takže, ano je to praktické ale nespasí vás to, protože když se figurka z úchytu vyviklá když máte zrovna štětec v ruce, prostě vám to vypadne (na stůl, v horším případě do klína nebo do barevné palety). Třístranný držáček by byl určitě efektivnější.

A really handy tool that's easy to grip and makes holding your miniature practical. Note that the miniature must have a round base, or you'll need to attach a temporary one to secure it for painting.
It's not an essential piece of equipment, but it definitely makes the work more enjoyable.
Držák na figurky s podstavcem o malém průměru. (Standardní medium podstavec velikost).
Rozhodně šikovná věcička, dobře se drží a lze si s ní prakticky přidržovat figurku. Figurka musí mít však kulatý podstavec, nebo jí musíte nějaký dočasný při barvení přidělit, aby šlo figurku uchytit.
Sice se nejedná o nutnou účast vybavení ale rozhodně je to zpříjemnění práce.
I'm struggling a bit with the handle expansion, but maybe I'm just trying to fit oversized miniatures in there. It definitely makes working with it much easier.
Trochu bojuju s tím roztažením držátka, ale třeba tam cpu jen nevhodně velké figurky. Práce s ním je rozhodně mnohem snazší.
