Chaos in the Old World

The Old World of Warhammer awaits you to conquer it as one of the 4 Chaos Gods. This is the perfect asymmetric game for exactly 4 experienced players (it doesn't make sense with fewer). You'll need a few games under your belt to master the unique strategies of each god and learn how to counter your rivals effectively. For seasoned and regular players, it offers a royal tug-of-war experience combining area control and dice combat.

Svět starého Warhammeru čeká abyste ho v podobě jednoho ze 4 bohů ovládnul. Dokonalá asymetrická hra přesně pro 4 zkušené hráče (v menším počtu nemá smysl). Chce to několik odehraných her, abyste dokonale zvládnuli odlišné strategie všech bohů a dokázali správně reagovat na snažení vašich konkurentů. Pro zkušené a pravidelné hráče nabízí královskou přetahovanou - area control + kostkový boj.

This game is simply amazing. I resisted it for a long time because the Warhammer world never really appealed to me, and that was a huge mistake. Aside from the great production quality (the map on human skin, the miniatures), it's fantastic that each of the gods plays completely differently.
The rules aren't hard to explain, but mastering the game and discovering everything it has to offer takes a lot of time. The only thing I would criticize is that Khorne is an essential part of the game, but when he's in play, the first few rounds boil down to everyone else trying to stop Khorne from killing. If they don't succeed early on, Khorne has basically already won, and it's very difficult for the others to catch up.

There is a variant of the game called Cthulhu Wars that supposedly fixes this flaw, but for that price, you could buy several copies of Chaos...

Tahle hra je prostě úžasná. Dlouho jsem se jí bránila, jelikož svět Warhammeru mě nikdy moc neoslovil, a byla to velká chyba. Když pominu skvělé zpracování (mapa na lidské kůži, figurky), je úžasné, že každý z bohů se hraje naprosto odlišně.
Pravidla nejsou těžká na vysvětlení, ale dokonale ovládnout tu hru a objevit vše, co může nabídnout, to zabere hodně času. Jediné, co bych hře vytkla, je že Khorne je její nezbytnou součástí, ale když ve hře je, tak se prvních několik kol smrskne na to, že všichni ostatní se snaží zabránit Khornemu v zabíjení. Když se jim to nepodaří na začátku, tak už má Khorne v podstatě vyhráno a je velmi těžké pro ostatní vyhrát.

Existuje ke hře varianta v podobě Cthulhu Wars, kde by měl být tento nedostatek odstraněn, ale za tu cenu si člověk může pořídit Chaosů několik...

What's awesome is that every faction plays differently, requiring unique strategies. The game is easy to learn, but mastering it takes time. That's exactly why it never gets old!

Moje NEJ hra, navíc z prostředí populárního Warhammeru. Jen tentokrat jste na straně těch "zlých".

Parádní je, že za každou stranu se hraje jinak a musíte volit jinou strategii. Naučení hry je velmi snadné, ale skutečně ji ovládnout a hrát dobře nějakou dobu trvá. I díky tomu se snad nikdy nehraje!
