This expansion really breathes new life into the base game. It definitely doesn't stop at just a new game board (The Great Cloud) and the option to play with up to 5 players (personally, I actually prefer playing with two, where the game becomes more of a tactical affair than a family pastime).
The Great Cloud is largely covered in new types of resources that serve the same function as the rare resources on the base board - including them in your fiefs allows you to generate more gold carrots.
Connections can be made via movable rainbow tokens (2 in the game) or the static cloud tower tokens from the base game. There is also a new chimney token, which you can use to send basic resources (wood, fish, carrots) from The Great Cloud to all fiefs on the ground.
Thanks to this, even small fiefs on the ground can become very valuable, up to five times more so if they contain a large Carotedel (a carrot fortress with 5 towers). Equally interesting are the new parchment cards and the tax collection mechanic, which can help you turn a seemingly lost game in your favor with a high trade score at the end. Perhaps only the long final scoring might spoil the good feeling of the game for some.

As for the production quality, the game board is just as high-quality as the one in the base game, and the new cards (50 in total) don't stand out graphically from those in the base game (I only noticed whiter edges when looking at the side of the stacked deck), which is often a problem with many expansions.
Collectors will certainly appreciate that the box has the same footprint as the base game and features perfect artwork. Practically speaking, it is possible to move all the expansion content into the base game box; everything fits without any issues.
The attached image documents the final scoring of a two-player game - the range of the original scoring track may not always be sufficient (here, the yellow bunnies have 324 gold carrots).

Toto rozšíření původní hru velice oživuje, rozhodně to nekončí novou hrací deskou (Velkým oblakem) a možností si hru zahrát až v 5 hračích (osobně vlastně hraju nejraději ve dvou, kdy se hra stává více taktickou záležitostí než rodinnou zábavou).
Velký oblak je z velké části pokryt novými typy surovin, jež plní stejnou funkci jako suroviny vzácné na základním hracím plánu - jejich zahrnutím do lén (fiefů) lze generovat více zlatých mrkviček.
Propojení lze realizovat přesouvatelnými žetony duhy (2 ve hře) či žetony statických oblačných věží ze základu. Přibývá taky žeton komínu, z jehož pomocí lze posílat základní suroviny (dřevo, ryby, mrkve) z Velkého oblaku do všech lén na zemi.
Díky tomu mohou i malá léna na zemi být velice hodnotná, a to až pětinásobně nachází-li se v nich velká karotedela (mrkvová pevnost s 5 věžemi). Neméně zajímavé jsou nové karty parchmentů a herní mechanika výběru daní, s níž lze v závěru vysokým obchodním skórem zvrátit výsledek zdánlivě prohrané hry ve svůj prospěch. Snad jen dlouhé závěrečné bodování by mohlo někomu zkazit dobrý pocit z odehrané hry.

Co se týče zpracování, herní plán je stejně kvalitní jako ten v základní hře a nové karty (celkem 50) graficky nevyčnívají vůči těm ze základní hry (zaznamenal jsem pouze bělejší hrany pozorované na boku sestaveného balíčku), což bývá problém mnoha rozšíření.
Sběratelé jistě ocení totožný půdorysný rozměr krabice s tou se základní hrou a její dokonalý artwork. Prakticky je ale možné veškerý obsah rozšíření přesunout do základní hry, vše se tam bez problému vejde.
