Halloween costumes for little and big spooks

Like it or not, Halloween has taken root here too. Looking for tips on an interesting costume? You're in the right place!

Halloween costumes for little and big spooks

Although Halloween is long considered a purely American holiday, its roots lie in Europe. More precisely, on the British Isles, where it most likely emerged from the Celtic festival of Samhain. Samhain was dedicated to the harvest at the end of summer. During these celebrations, the Celts lit bonfires and decorated their bodies and clothing to ward off or confuse spirits.

Nowadays, Halloween is primarily a great excuse to have a drink. Celebrate your boundless creativity and a millennia-old fascination with horror, violence, death, and the supernatural with your friends. From costumes for the smallest mummies to truly terrifying masks that cause more than one nightmare, our love for socializing, partying, and alcohol – ideally all at once – knows no bounds.

Creating any costume is a matter of imagination, time, and resources. But don't let that stress you out. The internet is full of endless tutorials that will help you on your journey to the perfect Halloween costume. In this article, we'll show you just a few tips for products and tutorials from the depths of the all-powerful YouTube!

In the descriptions, we will mention two very popular and (practically) essential products for costume making. Plasti Dip and Cosplay contact adhesive for EVA foam. You can find out how to use them in the linked articles.

Clicker from The Last Of Us

If you've fallen in love with the unconventional and completely alive (yes, a clicker isn't a zombie, but a mindless puppet under the control of an invasive fungus), I have a great (and first) tutorial here from the incredibly skilled and talented SKS Props. You can find the template to print here. Simply download the PDF, print it on A3, and follow the instructions.

What will you need? For this awesome clicker mask, you'll find these useful: EVA foam, Foam Clay, acrylic paints, clear acrylic spray (optional), Plasti Dip, Cosplay contact adhesive or contact cement, and fake teeth (can be cut out of white craft foam). Simply dress the rest of your body in tattered clothes and splatter them with fake blood. Even though a clicker isn't a zombie, it bites. ;)

Halloweenské kostýmy pro malé i velké bubáky!

Demonic entity

demon can take many forms. It can look scary or sexy and provocative. The choice is yours. For a demonic entity, you only need a few basic supplies and a bit of artistic skill.

What will you need? Turning into a demon has never been easier! Get yourself: Devil horns, red and black face paint, makeup setting spray, red contact lenses (also available as prescription lenses for the nearsighted).

Know that red makeup also looks interesting in combination with white and black lenses. You can also spice up the costume with vampire fangs, which look great combined with horns! I recommend gluing the fangs with denture adhesive.

For clothing, choose comfortable black attire with red accessories, ideally cotton, linen, fur, faux leather, leather, etc.

Mummy for the smallest pharaohs

Once again, we visit the fountain of an incredible number of PDF patterns from SKS Props. Halloweens and some parades for the little ones sometimes require masks. And who could resist a classic monster popular among Egyptologists and RPG players alike? You can download the paper pattern for the mummy mask here. Continue according to the instructions in this video. The mummy mask is truly simple and the whole family will have fun making it!

What will you need? Add these to your shopping cart: EVA foam, acrylic paints, Plasti Dip (clear or white - it creates a beautiful, strengthening layer and paint sticks to it well), Cosplay contact adhesive or contact cement. Dress yourself or your little one in light-colored clothing and glue or randomly sew strips of white fabric, or strips of ordinary cheap bandages, onto the clothes.

And that's it. Costumes can be that simple! However, if you are still waiting for a zombie tutorial, before Halloween we will show you an undead maid costume! From makeup to the clothes, which you can buy from us at a great price. ;) Until then, cheers to the ghosts!
