Description
The story of Bizzarie takes place in a bizarre fairy-tale kingdom. The King is deeply troubled by reports of unknown monsters living in his Northern Forest. After all, who wants monsters in their backyard? The King summons brave adventurers and scientists to head into the Northern Forest and find out what these monsters really are. The scientists disguise themselves as monsters to blend in and start their observations. They soon discover that the monsters love watching TV and are even more passionate about debating what they've seen. The King will reward the adventurer or scientist who best understands these mysterious creatures.
The game belongs to the same category as the well-known game Dixit. Inside the box, players will find monster face parts. They assemble faces on white paper and use markers to draw the monsters' bodies. The game also includes cards with TV news reports from Bizzarie. Players react to these reports by drawing comic speech bubbles for the monsters and writing their own comments inside. As the game progresses, the monsters develop unique personalities, turning from unknown creatures into fascinating individuals. A monster's character is defined by its appearance and, most importantly, by what it says. Every game features different monsters because the players themselves create their personalities through their comments.
The game also includes question cards divided into several categories (kids, teenagers, adults, and intellectuals + a surprise). The questions always ask which monster is the most "this or that." Players then take a good look at the monsters and, based on their perceived personalities, identify the most likely candidates. They write their guesses in the provided table and evaluate them at the end of the round. The player who matches the most with their fellow players scores the most points.
This is a slightly psychological game as players try to perceive the monsters' personalities. It's also creative, as players draw and write short texts in comic bubbles. Above all, it's a lot of fun, thanks to the wittily phrased questions, bizarre TV news reports, and comical game situations.

I had the chance to play this game back in its testing phase and it was already excellent! Players will truly have a blast, just as promised. :)
Měla jsem možnost hrát tuto hru ještě ve zkušební fázi vývoje a už tehdy byla výborná! Hráči si opravdu užijí kopec srandy, jak je slibováno. :)
