Yggdrasil

I bought it for my girlfriend and it was a great choice. As mentioned here before, the author really knew their stuff, which isn't always the case with some game designers. For anyone interested in Norse mythology who also loves games, Yggdrasil is a must-have. We grasped the rules pretty quickly, and the fact that the game isn't in Czech doesn't matter at all—everything is easy to understand, in my opinion. Yggdrasil really pulled us in; we've played it as a duo many times, and once with a larger group, which is even more fun.
I can only thank you for such a clever and beautifully crafted game that I can't help but recommend.

Koupil jsem ji pro přítelkyni a dobře jsem udělal. Jak zde již bylo psáno, autor o tématu opravdu něco věděl, což u tvůrců některých her nebývá pravidlem. Pro lidi co se zajímají o severskou mytologii a mají rádi hry je Yggdrasil povinnost. Pravidla jsme pochopili vcelku rychle, že není hra v češtině vůbec nevadí, vše je dle mého názoru snadno pochopitelné. Yggdrasil nás opravdu pohltil, hráli jsme ho ve dvou již mnohokrát, jednou pak s větší skupinou lidí, což je ještě větší zábava.
Nezbývá než poděkovat za chytrou a krásně provedenou hru, kterou nelze než doporučit.

The game is fast-paced and strategic. All players are on the same team playing against the game itself, which is a great feature. It's highly addictive!

Hra je velice svižná a strategická. Všichni hráči jsou v jednom týmu a hrají proti hře samotné, což je skvělý prvek. Hra je vysoce návyková!

No fan of Norse mythology should miss this game. If I hadn't received it as a gift, I would have bought it myself. It's a fantastic cooperative game where you can tell the author (and illustrator) really knew their stuff and paid attention to even the smallest details. You can learn the rules and master the core mechanics quite quickly. The only downside is that the difficulty balance varies significantly depending on the number of players—it's pretty easy to win with two, but with five, players really have to hustle.

Tuhle hru si nemůže nechat ujít žádný příznivce severské mytologie. Kdybych ji nedostala jako dárek, musela bych si ji pořídit sama. Velmi vydařená kooperativní hra, na které je vidět, že autor (příp. ilustrátor) o tématu opravdu něco věděl a vyhrál si i s nejmenšími detaily. Pochopit pravidla a osvojit si základní mechanismy hry lze vcelku rychle. Jedinou nevýhodou je poměrně velká nevyrovnanost obtížnosti hry podle počtu hráčů - ve dvou se vítězí vcelku snadno, při pěti lidech se hráči musejí notně smekat.

Yggdrasil is a fantastic game, and not just for fans of Norse mythology. It features beautiful artwork and easy-to-grasp rules. You'll have a blast playing it, but you'll need plenty of experience to ensure your victory isn't just down to luck.

Yggrdasil je skvělá hra, nejen pro příznivce severské mytologie. Hra je krásně graficky zpracována, pravidla jsou dobře pochopitelná. Při hraní si užijeme spoustu zábavy ale chce to spoustu zkušeností aby vítězství nebyla jen náhoda.
