This is a great initiative from Imago, and I’m very grateful for it. Although I bought The Witcher series gradually over several years and the books themselves are from different editions (so there might be differences in paper quality, etc.)—plus they’ve been read, so they suffer from the usual paperback issue of swelling—I managed to fit them into the box without any force. As many have written before me, the whole series looks much better aesthetically, not to mention the practicality of protecting them from dust. If Imago wants to continue this noble work, there are plenty of other series for which I—and surely others—would welcome a similar box (or the entire series in the case of larger works), such as Discworld or the Fighting Fantasy series. Thanks in advance.
Tohle je skvělý počin od Imaga, za který velice děkuji. Ačkoliv jsem sérii Zaklínač kupoval postupně v přůběhu několika let, a knihy samotné jsou z různých vydání (takže mohlo dojít např. ke změně použitého papíru apod.), navic jsou čtené, takže trpí obvyklým neduhem paperbacků, totiž bobtnáním, do boxu se mi je povedlo bez násilí dostat, a jak už psali mnozí přede mnou, celá série tím získává na estetickém dojmu, nehledě na praktičnost takového řešení ohledně ochrany před prachem atd. Pokud by Imago v této bohulibé činnosti chtělo pokračovat, je spousta jiných sérií, ke kterým bych zřejmě ne jenom já podobný box (nebo celou sérii v případě rozsáhlejších děl) uvítal - třeba Zeměplocha nebo série Fighting Fantasy. Děkuji předem.
The books fit perfectly into the box, even with the 'Season of Storms' included. Overall, the box is very nice and aesthetically pleasing, with illustrations that complement the books' theme. The material is sturdy and will definitely last a long time. Highly recommended!
Knihy se do boxu krásně vejdou, a to i včetně bouřkové sezóny. Celkově je box velice pěkný, esteticky moc hezky udělaný, kdy ilustrace doplňují tématiku knih. Po stránce materiálu box je hezky tvrdý a určitě bude sloužit dlouho. Vřele doporučuji!
A beautiful book box that makes your collection from Geralt's world look complete and organized. The product is unexpectedly sturdy and feels really solid and durable. It protects your books from dust and wear while looking incredibly aesthetic. It's a shame there isn't something similar available for collections like Discworld or Middle-earth. Anyway, regarding complaints that the books don't fit: my copy of Sword of Destiny is quite swollen and warped from humidity, but as you can see, the books still fit into the box after a few tries. It really depends on your insertion technique :-) So, I highly recommend it.
Krásný box na knihy, díky kterému vypadá kolekce z Geraltova světa uceleně a uspořádaně. Výrobek je nečekaně pevný, působí opravdu solidním a trvanlivým dojmem. Knihy chrání před prachem a dalším opotřebením a navíc vypadá nesmírně esteticky. Škoda, že není něco podobného k dostání třeba i pro kolekci ze Zeměplochy nebo Středozemě. Každopádně, k výtkám, že knihy do boxu nepasují; můj Meč osudu je dost nafouklý a deformovaný díky vlhkosti, ale jak vidno, knihy se přesto po pár pokusech do boxu vešly. Záleží dost na technice vkládání :-) Takže - zcela doporučuji.
Great satisfaction. Thanks to the box, the books feel like a complete collection and look really nice on the shelf. The books fit perfectly, including Season of Storms. I would love to see similar boxes for other book series as well.
Velká spokojenost. Díky boxu dostávají knížky dojem ucelené kolekce a celkově to vypadá v knihovně velmi hezky. Knížky se hezky vejdou, a to včetně Bouřkové sezóny. Podobné boxy by se mi velmi líbili i na jiné knižní série.
The box is nice and made of quality material, but my books didn't fit inside. It might be because they've been read a lot and have expanded, even though they're in great condition, or perhaps the box was designed for a reprint that was about 0.5 cm narrower. In any case, I recommend measuring your books before buying to make sure they fit the box's internal dimensions.
Box je síce pekný a vyrobený z kvalitného materiálu, ale moje knihy sa doň nevošli. Buď je to tým, že aj keď sú vo výbornom stave, tak sú často čítané a nabrali na objeme alebo bol obal určený na dotlač, ktorá bola možno o cca 0,5 cm užšia. V každom prípade, pred kúpou odporúčam knihy premerať, či spĺňajú vnútorný rozmer boxu.
