Star Wars: Rebellion is a board game for 2 to 4 players set in the Star Wars universe, where you take part in an epic conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, just like in the movies.
One player takes on the role of the Galactic Empire, while the other resists as the Rebel commander. Each player has specific objectives to fulfill. The Empire and the Rebels are not on equal footing; they use different strategies and units, ensuring a unique experience for each side. As the Empire, you command a massive army of stormtroopers and TIE fighters while hunting for the secret Rebel base. As the Rebels, you must effectively manage your infantry and ships, using guerrilla tactics to strike at key enemy positions.
Despite its grand scale, Star Wars: Rebellion remains a deeply personal, cinematic, and heroic game. The packed box includes a massive game board and nearly two hundred miniatures, including AT-AT walkers and the Death Star itself.

To put it briefly, it's like a Twilight Imperium for two. Otherwise, it's a perfect way to revisit the original trilogy and re-experience events that might turn out completely differently than in the movies. The downsides are the long playtime and the fact that it's effectively limited to 2 players (yes, you can play with 3 or 4, but it's just not the same). The game mechanics are very good and simple.
The production quality is excellent, with a really large number of miniatures. Despite the game being simple, the rules are written unnecessarily in a complicated way and don't explain some of the rarer moments that can occur during play. For Star Wars fans, this is a must-have and effectively the best board game you can get from this universe.
Když to zkrátím tak je to takové Twilight Imperium pro 2. JInak perfektní možnost si připomentou základní trilogii a prožit znova některé události které dopadnou třeba i úplně jinak než ve filmu. Nevýhodou je dlouhá herní doba a defakto omezení hrát pouze za 2 hráče (ano lze hrát i ve 3 nebo ve 4 ale není to ono). Herní mechanismus je velmi dobrý a jednoduchý.
Zpracování výborné, opravdu velké množství mini-figurek. Na to jak je hra defakto jednoduchá, tak pravidla jsou psaná zbytečně komplikovaně a nevysvětlují některé vzácnější momenty které mohou během hry nastat. Pro fanoušky Star Wars je to povinost a defakto nejlepší deskovka jakou můžou z tady toho univerza pořídit.
We bought this game last Christmas and after about 20 playthroughs, I have to confirm all the positive reviews. This board game is simply perfect. It takes some time to learn all the rules, but that's the price for the immense tactical depth. Every SW fan is bound to love it.

Hru sme si kúpili ešte minulé Vianoce a asi po 20 odohraných partiách musím potvrdiť kladné hodnotenia. Táto stolová hra je jednoducho perfektná. Chce to čas naučiť sa všetky pravidlá ale to je cena za ohromné taktické možnosti. Každý fanúšik SW si ju musí obľúbiť.
Spracovanie je skvelé - kopec figúrok (lode, vojaci, technika) , kariet, žetónov.

I love how asymmetrical yet challenging it is for both sides. The game mechanics are fast and simple. Simplicity is a clear asset of SWR. The game features amazing components and, in particular, illustrations. The story is compelling, and for any SW fan, it's a must-have.
Za mne je skvělé, jak je asymetrická a přitom obtížná pro obě strany. Herní mechanismy jsou svižné a jednoduché. Jednoduchost je jasnou devizou SWR. Hra má úžasné komponenty a zejména ilustrace. Příběh je silný a pro fanouška SW je to povinnost.

How to put it, this game is simply brilliant. Even though it might not seem like it at first glance, reaching the goal isn't easy for either side. This makes the game well-balanced, and you won't know who has the upper hand until the very last round. A must-have for Star Wars fans, and an excellent game with interesting design and mechanics for everyone else. If you get the chance to try it out, I highly recommend it.
Jak to říct, tahle hra je prostě skvělá. Ač se to na první pohled nezdá, tak není jednoduché dosáhnout cíle, a to pro obě strany. Díky tomu je hra vyvážená a zhruba do posledního kola nevíte, kdo má navrch. Pro Star Wars fanoušky povinnost, pro ostatní výborná hra se zajímavým designem a mechanikami. Pokud budete mít možnost si ji někde vyzkoušet, vřele doporučuji.
