The sharp peaks of the Yunnan mountains have begun to turn green with a previously unknown plant. Rumor has it that it has powerful stimulating effects and healing properties. It is no wonder that the cultivation of this plant is spreading rapidly to other provinces. The Emperor has summoned his most capable growers from across the land to plant this beneficial crop in the Blue River valley. The best grower will receive their own fertile plantation in the Yunnan province from the Emperor.

Čajová zahrada is a strategy game by a Czech designer set in ancient China, where you become a tea grower. Players act as owners of the first tea gardens in the Yunnan region. You strive to expand your tea plantations by building new tea gardens in the valley along the river.

The game elegantly and organically combines deck-building, resource management, and action-selection mechanics. Using cards, you will build tea gardens in diverse provinces, study, harvest and ferment tea, sell it to caravans, or set sail on the Yangtze River.

Čajová zahrada offers a variety of gameplay options, fast turns, and accessible rules. The unique tea aging mechanism—where fresh tea loses quality while fermented tea gains it—and the freedom to combine main and secondary actions bring a breath of fresh air to the world of strategy games.
