Description
A time of hope and memories, of endings and new beginnings has arrived. The Red Star, responsible for the deadly Thread falls on Pern, has been nudged into a harmless orbit, making the current Pass the very last one.
Technological wonders are changing life on Pern. Dragonriders, led by the example of Lessin and F’lar’s son F’lessan—rider of the bronze Golanth—and Tai, rider of the green Zaranth, must find a new place in a world that will no longer need them as protectors against the Thread.
However, not everyone welcomes these changes, and some will stop at nothing to keep Pern and its people "pure and untainted" as they have been for centuries.
Yet, a new danger has appeared in the skies above Pern, threatening a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions. And so, all of Pern once again looks to the dragons and their riders as their only hope.
