I'm really happy with my choice to buy this shield for my 9-year-old grandson. Although I admit I was horrified for a few seconds after taking it out of the box—it looked huge, so I immediately ran for a tape measure.. :) But the dimensions were spot on - 55 cm (my estimation skills are clearly terrible :) ..)
It's perfect for a boy of his height - 140 cm, I think. The grip is designed brilliantly - a leather strap for the forearm and a wooden handle. ... The boss is easily removable, so painting it wasn't a problem (it's painted with acrylics) ..
So, for me, it's simply a perfect product :)

Veľmi sa teším z voľby zakúpiť tento štít pre 9ročného vnuka. Aj keď priznám, že na pár sekúnd po vybratí zo škatule som ostala zhrozená, prišiel mi obrovský, hneď som bežala pre meter .. :) Rozmery ale sedeli - 55 cm (môj odhad je zjavne nanič :) ..)
Na chlapcovu výšku - 140 cm - úplne super, myslím. Výborne je riešený úchyt - kožený remeň na predlaktie a drevené madlo. ... Puklica je ľahko snímateľná, nebol problém pri natieraní (natretý je akrylovou farbou) ..
Takže za mňa skrátka perfektný výrobok :)

So, after 3 years since I bought this shield (it was my first shield for my first LARP back then), it's still in perfect condition despite being used in steel combat, which honestly surprises me. The only things that happened were that I scraped my hand on the screw ends once or twice while training without armor, and a nut fell out of the leather strap :D
Otherwise, the shield is a perfect 'toy' for everyone, and you can even modify it for center-grip use. In conclusion, I'd say this shield is a perfect piece of gear for a beginner or anyone who doesn't have the means to make one at home.

Takže myslím že po 3 letech od toho co jsem si štít pořídil ( tou dobou to byl můj první štít na můj první LARP ) je štít i přez používání i na železe úplně v pořádku což mne překvapuje jediná věc co se s ním stala bylo to že jsem si jednou či 2krát rozedřel při tréningu beze zbroje ruku o konce šroubů a to že z koženého řemínku vypadla matička :D
jinak je štít dokonalá ´´hračka´´ pro každého a dá se i předělat na štít s centrálnm držením. Na závěr bych řekl že štít je dokonalá věc pro začátečníka nebo někoho kdo nemá jak si štít vyrobit doma

Awesome shield! With a bit of paint and imagination, you can have a lot of fun with it. It also works great as a birthday gift :-)

Parádní štít! S trochou barvy a představivosti se s ním dá parádně pohrát. Osvědčil se i jako narozeninový dárek :-)

This shield is excellent; it fits perfectly for Rohan, or with a few modifications, for orcs too. It looks really sturdy and I can't wait to test it out at a LARP event. The only thing I'd point out is that the foam padding is peeling off, so you'll need to tape it up with duct tape, but despite this minor flaw, I'm giving it 5 stars.

I have this shield with the boss, it looks massive:-) I hope it holds up at the LARP. I wanted to ask if you can paint custom emblems on the shields, like the Tree of Gondor or the Rohan horse. One minor complaint: the padding isn't as soft as I imagined, but I'm still giving it 5 stars. Don't be afraid to buy one.

Tento štít mám i s puklicí, štít vypadá masivně:-) Doufám, že na LARPu obstojí. Ale chtěl jsem se zeptat, jestli děláte na štíty různé znaky jako třeba gondorský strom nebo Románský kůň. Jinak jenom jedna výtka, měkčení štítu není tak dobré jak jsem si představoval ale i tak dávám ***** vážně se nebojte nákupu.

My shield just arrived. I have to agree that it's quite heavy. I've already tried it out with a friend; it holds well and fights well. I just need to repaint the boss and touch up the color (for an elf, and I still need to get rid of the pencil marks). Anyway, I like it, giving it 5 *.

Štít mi nedávno dorazil. Musím souhlasit s tím, že je celkem těžký. Už jsem si ho zkoušel s kámošem, drží dobře, dobře se s ním bojuje. Už jenom přelakovat puklici a drobně dobarvit (na elfa, musím se ještě zbavit čar tužkou. Každopádně se mi líbí, dávám 5 *.

My buddy has this piece of gear and he's not complaining :) Regarding the weight - it doesn't feel that heavy to me; we use much heavier shields as mercenaries, but it's true that it might be a bit heavy for some LARP events. However, for a proper full-contact battle, it's one of the lightest shields out there.

No tak tuhletu mašinku má kámoš a nestěžuje si :) Ohledně té váhy - mi zase tak těžký nepřipadá, u žoldáků používáme mnohem těžší štíty, ale je pravda, že pro larpové akce možná trochu těžší sej. Na pořádnou dřevárnu je to však jeden z nejlehčích štítů vůbec.
