Save the Monsters

A great entry-level game for younger players where you upgrade your assigned monster and complete various tasks before your opponent does. It's essentially a simple tile-drafting game with variable tile costs. We've been playing it with our 5-year-old daughter for a while now without any issues; we started with a simplified ruleset around age 4 and have recently been transitioning to the full rules.

Pro mladší hráče skvělá vstupní hra, ve které vylepšujete svěřenou příšerku a plníte různé úkoly dříve, než to stihne soupeř. V principu jednoduchý tile drafting s proměnlivou cenou dílků. Hrajeme s 5 letou dcerou úplně bez problému už nějaký ten pátek, cca od jejích 4 let jednodušší variantu pravidel, v poslední době přecházíme na plná pravidla.

I bought the game as a gift for my cousin and it's a huge hit. It offers both a more challenging version for adults and a simpler one for kids. Children as young as four or five can handle it. The graphics look a bit childish, but in the harder version, it takes a moment to figure out what will get you the most points, and then you have to decide what to bet on each time. It definitely won't get boring quickly.

Hru jsem koupila sestřenici jako dárek a sklízí velký úspěch. Jak obtížnější verze pro dospělé, tak jednodušší verze pro děti. Děti zvládly již ve věku čtyři/pět let. Graficky to působí spíše dětsky, ale v obtížnější verzi chvíli trvá, než se zorientujete, co vám přinese nejvíce bodů, a pak se musíte po každé rozhodnout, na co vsadíte. Jistě se rychle neohraje.

A perfect game. Especially for fantasy enthusiasts. Kids will grasp the rules after just one playthrough. Highly recommended.

A beautifully illustrated game that even young children will love. We play it with them and they are thrilled. The kids love the monster illustrations and upgrading them.
