Unlike the original Dixit, Dixit Odyssey allows up to twelve players.

The voting system has also been improved; instead of numbered tokens, each player gets a voting board where they insert a peg next to the corresponding number. It’s much more convenient than digging through a pile of tokens to find the right one.

The box is much better designed and holds a lot more. The scoring track is more compact and includes numbers where you place the individual cards. This eliminates the eternal problem of figuring out which card is actually the first one.

Odyssey is a must-have for every Dixit fan, but I would also recommend it to complete beginners over the original Dixit.

Vylepšení doznal i způsob hlasování, kdy namísto žetonů z čísly má každý hráč hlasovací tabulku, do které zastrčí kolíček k příslušnému číslu. Je to pohodlnější, než se prohrabovat kopou žetonů a hledat ten správný.

Krabice je pak mnohem lépe navržená a vejde se toho do ní mnohem víc. Bodovací tabulka je pak mnohem kompaktnější a obsahuje také čísla, pod která se jednotlivé karty pokládají. Odpadá tak věčný problém s tím, která karta je vlastně první.

Odyssey je nezbytnost pro každého milovníka Dixitu, ale doporučil bych ho i naprostým nováčkům namísto Dixitu originálního.

An excellent game that never gets old. Every session feels fresh and different. The artwork is stunning, and everyone interprets it in their own way. We already own several sets of cards and game boards, and everyone who has played with us ended up buying their own. Perfect for a group of friends or family. It plays best with more people, but we even tweaked the rules to make it work for two. :)

Výborná hra, která se nikdy neomrzí. Pořád je to jiné a jiné. Nádherné obrázky, v nichž každý může vidět něco jiného. Doma máme již několik sérii karet a herních plánků a kdokoli s námi hrál, pořídil si rovněž. Vhodné pro partu kamarádu, rodinu. Lepší hrát ve více lidech, ale upravili jsme si pravidla i pro hraní ve dvou. :)

I spent a long time walking past it, not really understanding what I would enjoy about it. That was a huge mistake.

Even non-gamers love this game. I take it on practically every vacation, and it's amazing to see how everyone has a different imagination and how every card sparks different thoughts in everyone.

Dlouho jsem kolem ní chodil s tím, že moc nechápu, co by mě na ní mělo bavit. Byla to obrovská chyba.

Hru si skvěle užívají i nehráči. Beru ji sebou prakticky na každou dovolenou a je úžasné sledovat, jak má každý jinou představivost a každý obrázek v každém probouzí jiné myšlenky.
