Organic matcha from Japan comes from the 2nd and 3rd harvest. The tea leaves are shaded from the sun, which increases the chlorophyll and L-Theanine content, giving the drink its deep green color. After harvesting, the leaves are steamed, dried, and ground into a fine powder.

This matcha is lovingly grown on small, organic-certified farms in Uji. This region is famous for its premium quality matcha, thanks to its unique local climate.
