The Lego Group was founded in 1932 and celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2022. However, the first LEGO brick wasn't produced until 1949. Since then, LEGO sets, toys, and products have gained massive popularity among both children and adults.
The name LEGO comes from the combination of two Danish words – leg godt, which means "play well." In Latin, the word lego means to collect.
