Description
Japanese green tea with a unique twist—it's roasted. The reddish-brown leaves smell like toasted bread crust and create a reddish to light brown infusion with a signature delicate, slightly roasted, caramel flavor.
Thanks to its negligible caffeine content, this tea is perfect for kids or as an evening drink.
The price is for 50g of tea.

Although it's a green tea, roasting the leaves creates a flavor that might not immediately strike an uninitiated palate as green tea. As others have noted, there's a distinct smoky, settled, yet subtle taste. The infusion has a reddish-brown color and can be steeped up to four times, with each cup offering a slightly different flavor, though even the last one is enjoyable. Like every loose-leaf FO tea, it arrived in a practical, resealable bag with a sci-fi design (metaphorically speaking).
This tea has a unique aroma that changes three times during preparation: in the bag, while steeping, and finally the brew itself. The taste is pleasant and (surprisingly) delicate, with notes I'd describe as roasted or slightly smoky, and the infusion has a reddish hue. I usually used 3 heaping teaspoons per 300 ml. For the first steep, I used 80°C water for two and a half minutes. For the second, I used a higher temperature for the same amount of time. For the third, I used 90°C water and steeped for 5 minutes, and for the final steep, I used boiling water and extended the time to 10 minutes. Every infusion was delicious.
It's a very unusual tea in terms of flavor, but I have to say I found it truly excellent. I'm not sure if this is the right way to describe it, but it tasted a bit smoky to me.
An excellent and highly unconventional tea. If you're craving something extraordinary, this is the only right choice. You get a very bold infusion in just 3.5 minutes, and a 4-minute steep yields a strong, sharper-tasting tea that still lacks the unnecessary acidic aftertaste that, for example, Sencha develops after that time.
Vynikající a velice netradiční čaj.
